It's the first time in years that the Orthodox community is feeling that civil rights laws are for us as well. It was a pleasure hearing this directly from the Deputy Attorney General in the @RealYated interview a couple of weeks ago.

A veritable block of history has just passed. Mrs. Potash, who kept alive the mesiras nefesh of her husband - which became globally known when R' Yom Tov Ehrlich sang about it at their wedding - was niftar. She was 94.

The famed song "Yankev der Zinger" was first sung by Yom Tov Ehrlich, a friend of his, at the chasuna of Yaakov and Yenta Potash, in Paris in 1946. He rarely discussed his experienced.

NEW: The BBC has sent Rabbi YY an apology letter, along with results of its investigation.
It says it was right in reporting that an anti-Muslim slur was said since it added the qualifying "allegedly," but should've backed off after audio experts said it was a harmless phrase.
