Fox News is putting Nicki Minaj up telling people to vote red. Let’s break that down. Can Nicki Minaj vote? No. She’s not a U.S. citizen. Can Nicki Minaj’s husband vote? No, he’s a registered sex offender. Can Nicki Minaj’s brother vote? No, he’s serving 25 years to life for child sexual assault. She seems like the perfect spokesperson for MAGA republicans.

Apologized more for this than when he beat up a woman
After the game, Josh Jacobs said he apologized to his team for dropping Jordan Love’s TD pass on third-and-5 with 3:30 left. Big turn in the loss. “That’s a play I’ve got to make. So I said, ‘If you want to blame anybody, put it on me.’”

Baseball games are broadcast by guys who have a really poor grasp of what actual analytics are, and then fans interpret what they’re hearing poorly. It’s a terrible game of “telephone”. If these guys actually understood what “analytics” are they wouldn’t have a problem with them.
I miss when "hitting" actually meant "getting a hit" in a game, rather than some MS in Data Science saying you had "superb exit velocity" in BP.

45ish year old grown man thinks he’s a wrestling heel but he thinks OTHER people are corny. Dunning Kruger at work.
No! We don’t! Fuck the bears! Football cubs ran the Southside Cardinals out of town. They can kiss our ass. Meidroth was there for the patriots

Republicans are pro-child rapists. This is what your party stands for. The leader of your party made his stance 100% clear. You are all therefore responsible for defending child rapists. Own it. Be proud of it. This is what it means to be a Republican. Congratulations!
A 12-year-old girl was raped. The President of the United States is defending her rapist and the rapist’s wife, and using the rape to smear the victim. What level of evil are we dealing with here?

The "I played baseball at a higher level than you, therefore i know more than you" is a really dumb argument. Again, this man is ignoring that the Rays/Brewers are the two most analytical organizations in baseball. It's hilariously stupid.
DAMN! Who knew little old me and my opinion would have all y’all this STIRRED UP?! Some of y’all heard the word ANALYTICS and completely MISSED MY WHOLE DAMN POINT! I’m talking about REAL BALLPLAYERS! DOGS! GRINDERS! Dudes who will fight through 12-pitch at-bats, move runners, lay down a bunt, run the bases, make plays, and do the dirty work EVERY SINGLE NIGHT! Guys who COMPETE THEIR ASSES OFF! I spent a few years around Pat Murphy. Sat in his office, had plenty of personal conversations, and heard firsthand what that man preached! “PLAY LIKE A NEANDERTHAL!” Now let me ask y’all something… YOU THINK NEANDERTHALS KNEW WHAT ANALYTICS WERE?! OR WERE THEY JUST OUT THERE TRYING TO COMPETE, SURVIVE, AND WIN NO MATTER WHAT?! THAT’S MY WHOLE DAMN POINT! I never said the Brewers and Rays don’t use analytics. I’m saying I see two organizations that value OLD-SCHOOL BALLPLAYERS! Complete players who know how to WIN, even when it ain’t pretty! Y’all call it analytics. I call it GETTING BACK TO THE GAME I GREW UP LOVING! BASEBALL! SIMPLE AS THAT! And yeah, let me be a LITTLE PETTY before I go! Respectfully, I’m not letting people who have NEVER stepped between those lines convince me otherwise just because you went to a really FANCY SCHMANCY COLLEGE 🤣and know how to read a spreadsheet! I respect education. I respect analytics. But being book smart doesn’t automatically mean you understand what it takes to COMPETE AND WIN between those lines! I played 15 YEARS in the BIG LEAGUES! I’ve been around some of the greatest baseball minds in the world. That doesn’t mean I know everything, but I’ve earned the right to have my own perspective on this game! LOVE THE DEBATE! RESPECT EVERYBODY’S OPINION! BUT I’M STANDING TEN TOES DOWN ON MINE!

All of these former players have to be combining to do this bit. Cameron, these are the two most analytics driven teams in baseball. There’s no way we should be so dense.
BASEBALL MIGHT BE GETTING THE WORLD SERIES IT NEEDS MOST! At a time when analytics have practically taken over the game and a potential lockout is looming, the Rays and Brewers might be reminding baseball of something we’ve forgotten. HOW TO ACTUALLY PLAY WINNING BASEBALL! Pitching. Defense. Speed. Contact. Smart baserunning. Timely power. EXECUTION! Forget chasing superstars just because they’re superstars. GO FIND SUPERSTARS WHO KNOW HOW TO PLAY THE GAME! Two organizations proving that sometimes the best way forward is BACK TO BASICS! Maybe this World Series is bigger than a championship. Maybe it’s a reminder of what baseball has been missing. And for once, I genuinely have NO IDEA who I’m picking! Rays fans, Brewers fans… SELL ME ON YOUR SQUAD! Convince me why YOUR team wins it all. BEST ARGUMENT GETS MY PICK!
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The Rays and Brewers are among baseball's most analytics-driven organizations, using data and tech to identify edges like contact, speed, and small-ball tactics rather than representing a "back to basics" rejection of analytics. nytimes.com/athletic/76843… wsj.com/sports/basebal… mlb.com/news/explainin… outkick.com/sports/milwauk…

For me, only Miguel Vargas, Mune and Sean Burke are untouchable.....nobody is expendable per se, but we have a lot of infielders right now, so YMMV. Those are solid building blocks.

The loud contingent of former below average to very average major leaguers (generous) making shit up, puffing out their chests, while being very wrong is strange. They're everywhere. They're eschewing data and analytics for "It doesn't look 101-103 mph. Looks like higher 90s."
The radar gun readings are a bit hot….. Henriquez’s fastball doesn’t look 101-103 mph. Looks like higher 90s I hate that today’s fans just can’t see or understand that the radar reading is 3 or more mph faster than 10-15 years ago. When I played we understood that the older guns were slower. Why can’t this generation? #thisismycrew #dodgers #nlcs

In reflection after yesterday’s loss; I want to offer a sincere apology. I got too confident. After the Sox got up 2-0, I let it get to my head. I wasn’t locked in at the plate. I wasn’t locked in on the mound. Got too goofy with the cowboy hat. Probably showered too much.
Remember who has the power in baseball games…it’s the podcasters. Not the guys striking out in 70% of their ABs in an elimination game!
