Next week is our last legislative week of the year and our last chance to preserve access to life-saving care for our constituents. It's time for Republicans to join Democrats to extend the ACA tax credits and save health care access for millions of Americans.

President Trump has cost NC-02 families more than $3,800 this year. Despite his promises to end inflation and lower costs, North Carolina families are still paying for his broken promises.

Same grocery bill, smaller cart. I visited Grand Asia Market in Raleigh to talk with owner Richard Chang about how reckless tariffs and high fuel prices are driving up costs for both families and small businesses.

Trump's warnings that there would be “no money” for settlements for Camp Lejeune victims if the GOP loses the midterms are repulsive. Veterans and families still seeking justice for loved ones have been through enough before being coerced to vote with Trump in order to get fair compensation. If the President has the power to expedite settlements, as he claims, then we should all ask why he hasn’t been doing so from the moment he took office. I will continue to put Camp Lejeune victims above politics and work across the aisle to get families what they’re owed.
Trump on Camp Lejeune water contamination claims: "If we win the House and Senate, I am directing the Department of Justice to settle all remaining legitimate claims as soon as possible ... if we don't win, there's no money."

Dear James-David, I'm glad our airport made such a strong impression on you, because the city of "Raleigh-Durham" would like you to go back to DC and restore our research funding.
BIG yikes here from @JDVance today. “Raleigh-Durham” is an airport, not a city or a place people are from. #ncpol Ultimate irony that he says it during a statement accusing opponents of being inauthentic.

Prices aren't rising by accident. Republicans have voted with Trump to raise the cost of healthcare, food, gas, and more. I spoke about how I'm working to lower costs at my town hall Wednesday in West Raleigh. North Carolina deserves leaders who work for them, not against them.

The Raleigh-to-Richmond Rail Line is a testament to what we can achieve when federal, state, and local leaders work together. By investing in a more efficient transportation system, we are building the infrastructure needed to support our state's growing population and economy.

I am horrified to learn about the attempted mass shooting at a Hindu temple over the weekend, and I am grateful that @CongressmanRaja and his family are safe. The threats of white supremacy and anti-Indian hate must be taken seriously and unequivocally condemned. My heart goes out to our Hindu and Indian communities in North Carolina and beyond in the wake of this frightening attack.

Congratulations to North Carolina's own Christina Koch on becoming NASA’s acting deputy chief engineer. Christina Koch made our state proud as the first woman to journey around the moon. Now, I look forward to working with her as she leads the next chapter of American space travel. newsobserver.com/news/local/…

Thanks to high energy costs, inflation rose to 3.7%. Americans can't keep up with continuously rising prices. But instead of working to lower costs, Republicans in Washington have voted for Trump’s tariffs, supported his war with Iran, and backed policies that are driving up costs for American families. cbsnews.com/news/september-c…

It was an honor to welcome German Ambassador to the United States, Jens Hanefeld, to North Carolina. Ambassador Hanefeld's visit highlighted our countries' shared goals and the opportunities ahead to strengthen the partnership between North Carolina and Germany.

"I sit on the couch watching football and doing laundry. And thank God for the alerts. I'll say that first and foremost.” I’m grateful that Hurricane Isaias left no reported fatalities across North Carolina. This is in no small part thanks to the National Weather Service (NWS), which provided alerts that mobilized people to safety in a matter of minutes. This is why in Congress I will keep fighting back against cuts to NWS to make sure families have the info they need when extreme weather strikes. wral.com/news/local/raleigh-…

Today is Indigenous Peoples' Day, a day to celebrate the rich history and important contributions of Native communities to North Carolina and beyond. Indigenous communities have experienced centuries of injustice and discrimination yet continue to endure. Today, we honor them and recommit ourselves to pursuing justice.

It was an honor to join @NCLifeSci to discuss the future of life sciences in the Triangle. I’m honored to represent so many businesses and organizations that are innovating across the life sciences sector. Investing in biosciences is an investment in North Carolina’s people and our future.

I'm proud to have earned an A from Defend the Vote for my record of protecting voting rights, fighting corruption, and defending election integrity. Voting is our most fundamental right, and the Trump Administration is still trying to disenfranchise voters. I will always fight to ensure that every vote counts.

Starting January 1st, the Trump admin's new work requirements for Medicaid go into effect, jeopardizing coverage for thousands of North Carolinians and raising healthcare premiums across the board. I held a roundtable with policymakers and providers to discuss what's at risk and what those with Medicaid should know.
