ALT Infographic titled "Situation Overview: Hurricane Isaias" from National Weather Service Mobile/Pensacola, updated October 9, 2026, at 5:30 AM. The left panel displays the official forecast track map showing the storm moving north toward a landfall along the coast this evening, most likely between Mobile Bay and Choctawhatchee Bay (potentially near Pensacola). A note cautions not to focus on the exact track line as impacts extend well outside the cone. The right panel highlights likely impacts: hurricane-force winds near the center, an expansive tropical-storm-force wind field, life-threatening storm surge (especially along and east of landfall), dangerous surf/rip currents, life-threatening flash flooding in coastal counties, and tornadoes east of the center.

ALT Hurricane Isaias will continue to strengthen as it moves northeast in the central Gulf and is forecast to make landfall along the northern Gulf Coast as a hurricane Friday night or early Saturday morning, keeping in mind that impacts can occur well outside the area enclosed by the cone. Significant impacts are likely, including hurricane-force winds near the center along with an expansive tropical storm force wind field, life-threatening storm surge particularly for areas along and east of where the center makes landfall, dangerous beach conditions including high surf and a high risk of rip currents, life-threatening flash flooding especially over coastal counties, and tornadoes particularly for areas east of the center.

ALT An informational graphic with a dark blue background from HHS.gov titled "HURRICANE PREPAREDNESS TIPS: Staying Safe at Home" features an illustration of a suburban house, yard, and garage on the left, connected by lines to six color-coded safety tips on the right. The tips advise securing or bringing in outdoor furniture (padlock icon), running diesel generators exclusively outdoors to avoid carbon monoxide poisoning (red skull icon), moving electronics and important documents to the highest level of the house to prevent flood damage (gray laptop icon), covering windows with plywood (light blue hammer icon), trimming dead limbs from nearby trees (green branch icon), and ensuring your car is full of gasoline and parked inside if possible (orange gas pump icon).
