There are those who always like to claim that public schools in Wisconsin are starved for funding. But thanks to the targeted and strategic investments made by Legislative Republicans over the years, Wisconsin has one of the highest-ranking school systems in the country. In fact, it comes in at No. 5. So, the next time someone talks about the need to raise your property taxes because they believe schools require even more money, just show them the following report from WalletHub: fox6now.com/news/wisconsin-b…

Democrats are desperately scrambling to blame Republicans for the downfall of the Knowles-Nelson Stewardship Fund. But as Senator @MaryFelzkowski writes, it's the liberal Supreme Court who truly broke stewardship in Wisconsin. heartlandpost.com/how-wiscon…

All 15 Democrat members of the Wisconsin State Senate voted against this bipartisan, negotiated bill that would have lowered property taxes, provided income tax relief and increased special education funding for schools. today.marquette.edu/2026/05/…

🤫 don’t remind @WISenateDems that Evers proposed budget had a $4.4 billion structural deficit. His structural deficit would have been even worse without his billions in proposed tax hikes. But keep that between us🤭

.@WISenateDems how about taking a long look in the mirror…
This Memorial Day weekend, every family hitting the road will feel the reckless decisions that are driving up costs. While Republicans in DC waste our tax dollars, and their allies here in Wisconsin do nothing, Senate Democrats have a plan to drive down costs.

Would you like the phone numbers of all the Dem legislators from Milwaukee, Madison, Racine, Kenosha and Green Bay who just killed this?
The superintendents of Wisconsin's "Big 5" districts (Milwaukee, Madison, Racine, Kenosha, Green Bay) want the Legislature to reconvene and take up strictly the $300M in special education funding from the failed Evers-GOP surplus deal. "That's still real money to kids this year"

Important Wisconsin context on how many students we will need seats for in the years ahead. The current system statewide is unsustainable as to number of employees and facilities UNLESS the State drops buckets of money on it. Any good business is always forecasting customers.
It is going to be far more than this, by the way. For Wisconsin, NCES predicted -4.6% by September 2031. It was -3.8% by September 2025! Wisconsin is predicting -12.5% by September 2031, almost triple NCES.

What is best for the people of Wisconsin was getting relief today, not asking people to hope for relief next year. I am disappointed that the people of Wisconsin will suffer because politicians on both sides were unable to see this. This is politics at its worst.

🚨 WE HAVE AN AGREEMENT!🚨 After months of negotiating, the Assembly and the Senate have finally reached a consensus point with the governor on getting the state surplus back to YOU and used in concentrated areas where it's most needed. Here are just a few of the highlights. wispolitics.com/2026/gov-eve… Watch for more details shared at our news conference tomorrow at 1:30 PM.

Yesterday, New York joined a growing list of states choosing to opt in to the new federal tax-credit scholarship program created under the One Big Beautiful Bill Act. The program lets individuals donate to scholarship organizations and receive a 100% federal tax credit—up to $1,700. Those funds can then help eligible students in public and private schools pay for education-related expenses, at NO COST to taxpayers. But Tony Evers REFUSES to opt Wisconsin in, denying Wisconsin students this incredible opportunity. It’s a sad day when even New York Democrats show more common sense than Wisconsin’s self-proclaimed “Education Governor.”
