Serving #AR3 is the greatest honor of my life. I will continue to advance policies in the district's best interest and deliver meaningful results to improve the quality of life for Arkansans.
My top priority is taking care of the needs of #AR3. If you or a family member ever need assistance, please contact my office at womack.house.gov.
This afternoon, I had the honor of speaking at the dedication of the new Madison Marsh Avenue in Fort Smith.
When Madison was a senior at Southside High School, I proudly nominated her to the United States Air Force Academy (USAFA). She graduated from USAFA in 2023 and was crowned Miss America in 2024, making her the first active duty servicemember to win the title.
Today, Madison is a First Lieutenant in the United States Air Force and a continued advocate for pancreatic cancer research. I am incredibly proud of her hard work and accomplishments.
At @UArkansas today, Acting @SecArmy Adam Telle, Senator @JohnBoozman, and I saw firsthand how students, researchers, and experts are working to equip our warfighters and protect our nation.
On a tour of the Multi-User Silicon Carbide (MUSiC) Research and Fabrication Laboratory, we had a chance to see how their team is testing new applications in Silicon Carbide (SiC) electronics that give our military technological edge.
Acting @SecArmy Adam Telle is in NWA today!
Alongside Senator @JohnBoozman and I, Acting Secretary Telle visited the Walmart Global Headquarters where he saw the Global Security Operations Center, or the GSOC. Staffed 24/7, the GSOC identifies and monitors events that could disrupt supply chains around the world and serves as a key partner in our national emergency response when disaster strikes.
I appreciated getting an update on the progress of Phase 2 of the Greenwood Bypass from Mayor Doug Kinslow and his team. In 2024, I was proud to secure $5 million in federal funding to support this project and am currently working on getting an additional $5 million signed into law.
Once completed, the bypass will mean better infrastructure, less congestion downtown, and a more reliable route to work, school, medical care, and more.
At Alpha Packaging, Inc. today, I saw how their team manufactures corrugated boxes and packaging supplies in Greenwood. This family-owned company delivers their products throughout a 300-mile radius and employs over 100 individuals in the River Valley.
I enjoyed spending the morning speaking to Lavaca High School’s civics students where we discussed how their generation can live fulfilling lives by investing in their education, prioritizing their health, and living with a spirit of charity.
I also had the opportunity to meet with members of the school’s student government. These leaders represent the entire student body, and I shared with them the importance of leading both in the walls of the school and in their communities.
I was excited to be at the grand opening of the brand-new Hotel Vin here in Rogers. Seeing the impressive growth of this city—and how it continues to bring new business opportunities to our region—brings me immense pride.
It always makes me happy to see students take their learning to the next level. Today, I visited one of the Ignite Professional Studies campuses that serve high school students in the Bentonville School District. Ignite students deep dive into a discipline of their choosing, jumpstarting their professional development and setting them up for future success.
In Van Buren, Fred and Shirley Williams showed me around their multi-generation cattle operation, Fair Oaks Farm, where they raise registered Angus and Angus-Wagyu crosses. During my visit, we also discussed the challenges that producers face and how Congress can support family-owned farms like their own.
At the Van Buren Chamber of Commerce’s new office, I answered questions from local business and community leaders about the issues that matter to them including funding for new transportation infrastructure, long-term projections for social security, and what is on Congress’ agenda going in to November.
This morning, I was in Crawford County with Mountainburg Mayor Susan Wilson, Senator @JohnBoozman, and USDA Rural Development State Director David Branscum to celebrate the completion of Phase 1 of Mountainburg’s water system improvement project and highlight the role federal investment plays in delivering results.
USDA Rural Development awarded Mountainburg $8.9 million to help fund Phase 1, supporting the installation of miles of new water lines to bring potable water to previously unserved areas of north-central Crawford County.
But there is still work to do, which is why I secured $4.4 million through the appropriations process to help fund Phase 2 and ensure more families have access to clean, safe drinking water on demand.
Had a great night cheering on the Black Knights in Tulsa and seeing Jack Hooe—Shiloh Christian Class of 2026—who is an Army Rabble Rouser. Go Army!
I appreciated the chance to hear more about the rapid growth happening across our region at the State of the Northwest Arkansas Region luncheon. From innovation and education to business and culture, Northwest Arkansas is poised for an exciting decade of growth, and I’m committed to helping ensure that you and your family benefit from the opportunities ahead.
At J.B. Hunt headquarters, I heard from members of the company’s leadership about aspects of the federal landscape that impact their business and employees, including the ongoing construction on I-49 in Crawford and Sebastian Counties.
I spent time with the next generation of leaders today, visiting West Fork Elementary School before meeting with West Fork high school students. Thank you to the 5th and 6th grade school ambassadors who showed me around the elementary, the high school band, football team, and cheerleaders for their warm welcome, and all the students who asked thoughtful questions about my work in Congress.
At Knight Sales and Manufacturing, I learned more about the company’s work providing specialty furniture and upholstery services throughout the region. From residential spaces to businesses, their work serves a wide range of needs, and I enjoyed seeing it firsthand.
I was honored to speak at @ftsmithchamber’s annual meeting today and provide an update on my work in Congress to support our region’s continued growth. From advancing critical transportation infrastructure projects to supporting the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) F-35 mission, I’m focused on strengthening the River Valley for decades to come.
.@SenTomCotton and I also enjoyed hearing from Dorota Markiewicz-Zemke, Deputy Chief of Mission at the Embassy of Poland in the United States, who was presented the City of Nations Recognition to symbolize the partnership between Poland and Fort Smith.
