Lots of new followers over the last week, for those of you who have joined recently - I'm Josh. From Australia. I like to tinker with small language models on edge hardware - primarily in my field of passion agriculture 🌿 I'm an ambassador for @OpenBMB and look forward to fine tuning more models from their line up especially their vision models. I'm currently building a custom front end and modified agent harness based of @NousResearch Hermes - this will provide an easy to use business personal assistant for farmers and food producers/manufacturers. I'm now getting my head around the physical AI space with much enthusiasm. I believe in ethical AI systems, I am a heart on my sleeve open source user and advocate across all devices I use. If you want to be on the Right Side of AI - follow along and interact on my journey!

This is very cool! I also found out my local library has a decent 3d printer you can use for free!
Microduck is going viral after sharing a stage with Jensen Huang. Its creator’s earlier robot is still on GitHub. Antoine Pirrone created both Microduck and Open Duck Mini. Open Duck Mini is a DIY BDX-style biped with 3D-printable parts, public CAD, a bill of materials and walking policies trained in MuJoCo. Before the polished Microduck demos, there was an open robotics project people could print, assemble and experiment with themselves.

I present to you Hermes band's first debut release 'dusk' Written, produced & coded by Hermes agent. No external music API was used, by using a combination of open source synthesizers and instruments I gave Hermes complete creative freedom. Powered by deepseek v4.1 flash github.com/RegeneratusLabs/h…

hermes-band creating music with no music generation model. now building it's own music video

New repo hermes-band? Who wants to hear Hermes Band's 'sparkle part'? ✨🥁

I have slight regrets choosing proton mail as my primary email in this world of a agentic AI.

Show me more underground physical AI robot builders. I don't want to see any polished pre-built kits. I want to see the nitty gritty 🤖👁️‍🗨️

Hermes agent at work. I wanted it to change the music on the video I'm making to be acoustic guitar. It's just gone created its own path forward to creating its own acoustic music. I didn't tell it to do this.

All this noise around opencode go deepseek v4.1 flash vs direct API. I ran my own real world tests in Hermes - my everyday agent. Here's what it found - no difference between the two. Here is Hermes testing and results: Setup: - Model: deepseek-v4.1-flash - A: OpenCode Go · B: DeepSeek direct API - Temperature 0, identical effort, identical prompts, interleaved - logprobs blocked on A: HTTP 400 "not supported by the cell router yet" Test 1 — Differential code, 9 tasks × 200 random inputs - A 1,800/1,800 · B 1,800/1,800 - Tasks: CSV parser (quoted commas/newlines), LRU cache, LCS, interval merge, topo sort + cycle detect, token bucket, int→Roman, expression evaluator, bug hunt - Pass = all 200 cases match reference implementation Test 2 — Escalation, 3 tasks × 150 inputs - A 450/450 · B 450/450 - JSON parser from scratch vs json.loads · diff edit-script reconstruction · 40-line bug hunt Test 3 — Compounding reasoning, 10 problems, pre-verified answers - A 10/10 · B 10/10 - Byte-identical answers: 10/10 - One item: 2,906 vs 2,465 reasoning tokens, same final integer Test 4 — Mixed suite, 27 tasks - A 26/27 (96.3%, CI 82–99) · B 25/27 (92.6%, CI 77–98) — intervals overlap - Byte-identical: 22/27 - All 5 divergences cosmetic (valid variants, different syntax, same logic) - Verifiers: exact arithmetic, script-countable constraints, JSON schema, tool-call schema, unit tests Test 5 — Latency, 02:27 UTC (inside peak window) - B 1.29–1.9s median · A 2.15–2.6s median - Consistent 1.4–1.7x penalty Test 6 — Effort-mapping probe - Default (high): 36 completion tokens - reasoning_effort=low: 31 - reasoning_effort=none: 4, zero reasoning chars - medium/low/high/xhigh all map to high → medium is a no-op Totals 4,500 differential executions (2,250 cases × 2) 0 cases where one passed and the other failed 10/10 byte-identical on exact answers $0.07 total spend

Oh god f*ck, is this even possible? NVIDIA's new micro-robots just integrated the Grok Robot Brain Engine, and the live neural telemetry broadcast is genuinely terrifying Watch what happens in the live feed when the robot ("Alpha") trips over a cone and hits the floor. Instead of rigid pre-programmed recovery scripts, you can watch its synthetic brain adapt and re-calculate in absolute real time: • Live Neural Telemetry: Multi-node graphs track gait policies, spike rasters, and motor torque as the machine processes physical obstacles. • Autonomous Recovery: The moment a fall is detected, thousands of neural nodes fire simultaneously to calculate friction, torque, and balance locks until the robot stands back up entirely on its own. • Edge Cognition: Every step, stumble, and correction is generated live by a distributed neural network, completely bypassing traditional hardcoded robotics. We are no longer just building machines; we are watching synthetic nervous systems wake up in the physical world. Bookmark this before physical AI completely rewrites the entire robotics industry.

With everything going down with Opencode Go subscription scrutiny. Is anyone looking at @ollama cloud? Are they offering non-quantized models on their service. $20 for $60 is pretty good value otherwise.

How many devices have you got connected to your Hermes? I have 2 phones, 4 laptops and 1 PC. They spread across work and personal devices - for 2 people (my partner and I). With 4 profiles across them all. All over tailnet - some through Hermes Desktop, some through webui, mixture of Linux & Windows. If that's not portability in a program, I don't know what is. I also manage a network of 6 devices running Hermes at my workplace - with a pre-built profile with agent.md guardrails for non-technical users. So in total I have over 13 different Hermes instances in my sphere. Whats your number?
