Today in the Friday Wrap (register here: lp.constantcontactpages.com/…), we wrap up our series on the people who make the transfer portal "go" by providing the feedback received from #NIL agents on the P4 GMs they respect the most. Arkansas' Gaizka Crowley (@Gaizka_UofA) is just one of the former Scouting the League guests who got glowing comments from their peers across the table. In fact, we were overwhelmed by the response, and received way too much content to fit in one place. To read about the nine GMs who got the most praise; several more who were also notable; and a short list of "the next wave," based on comments from NIL reps, make sure to check out today's edition of the Wrap (goes out at 7:30 pm EDT) and today's Rep Rumblings (insidetheleague.com/reports2…).

U are listening to the wrong ppl then! There is 1 goal post for greatness & it’s making good decisions and making plays - they go together! Drakes INT was a good decision just a bad throw, those things happen… and we should say, “you have to make that throw”, while also knowing we all miss from time to time, but it was the right thing to do!

Few QBs anywhere are worth $7 million a year. Top NFL backups demand that much; no more than a few college QBs should get it, including those not in the portal. I guarantee I would find a QB for less who will produce as a starter.

Hoover missed a gimme. And that is the difference when I break down film. Average players make flash plays. Good players make consistent plus flash plays. Great players make consistent and flash plays but always make the gimme.

It is crazy the number of people out there breaking down QB play!!! I am sure there are some who understand it, but there are far too many that don’t & want to pretend like they do! I listen to stuff every day that makes me SMH 🤦‍♂️, bc there are ppl out there listening to them (even if just a few)! For those doing breakdowns & those watching them, I always try to do my best to respond to those that want specific answers - so please reach out before posting or believing what someone says that “may not be an expert”!

Dan Quinn definitely doesn't cover himself in glory in what happened, but every plausible scenario i can come up with has Jayden Daniels dramatically more culpable.
The Commanders were not inclined as of Monday morning to fire Dan Quinn immediately following Sunday's clock management disaster against the Giants, a source told FOS.

I'm blown away at how many people talk about football and don't know anything about football.

An employee, whether they work for the team, the stadium, or whoever, has no business confronting an NFL player, calling their performance “Embrassing”… Saying “You heard me” after he looks back is uncalled for too. Dak Prescott has every right to be criticized, but if you’re an employee, you are not there to act like a disgruntled fan. If this man is truly an employee associated with the Cowboys at all, he should be let go. This is a fireable offense imo. This is unprofessional in every way.

Football is highs and lows, love and hurt, winning and losing , hiring and firing. We all have games like that and wins like that. Keep Grinding! Thank God!

The most important thing for coordinators is not having a great scheme, but putting players in the best positions based on their skills within the scheme you want to run.

I think teams have to be more honest about performances. Stop paying players just because options seem limited. Handcuffing yourself to players not worth their salary, simply because it's easiest, then making excuses for those decisions. Make the tough choices early. Better in the long run.

I should say this now because I can. I have a consulting business that works with college football programs. I do dislike other colleges or programs. I enjoy all college and professional football. But UNC Football will always hold a special place in my heart.

When players like @DrewMestemaker change teams, it makes headlines. But who are the #NIL agents helping players move in the portal, and more importantly, which are the best ones? We asked college GMs; their answers are in today's Wrap in about three hours. Register here: lp.constantcontactpages.com/…

Some rethinking on backup QB roles/ value. If your true backup isn’t able to go in on short notice and be competitive, maybe you need a ‘gameday 2nd’. But if he’s also not good enough to be trusted to play competently over a long term injury, he’s only an expensive coach.

Collaboration is a good thing . . . usually. Sometimes, however, there's a line that must not be crossed. Can #NFL scouts work together without sharing secrets? We asked several Directors of College Scouting about the state of the game. Does today's generation talk too much? Director feedback is in today's Wrap. Register here: lp.constantcontactpages.com/…

Dante Moore vs. USC With one loss already, there’s a lot riding on this game for Moore. Slow starts have been a theme. Oregon is struggling upfront, but I want to see him take command and be the reason they win this game. Haven’t seen that since the Penn State game last year.
