If American citizens would stop voting out of fear today, the duopoly loses its power tomorrow, and we will empower many better candidates to run for office.

Democrats have the power to end the war in Iran. The only question is whether they will:
I agree that the reason Republicans lost is the Iran war. I would add the corruption epitomized by the Epstein cover up.
Here is what I propose:
1. Support a continuing resolution prohibiting the financing of any combat activities of the U.S. military in Iran. End the Iran war like we did for Vietnam.
2. Support the zeroing out of all aid to Israel in the continuing resolution.
3. Support Massie and my Epstein 2.0 Act to allow state attorney generals to prosecute the pedophiles who abused and trafficked young girls.
Will you actually now do any of these three things?

The Midterm elections were a referendum on Israel
Chuck Schumer MUST be removed as Senate Leader
This AIPAC loving, genocide denying, Israel 1st foreign agent has spent his 50-yr political career focused on a single issue: “My job is to keep the left pro-Israel.”
No one is interested in Dems making excuses about “Schumer brings value” cause he secured pro-Israel blue seats, fuck that!
The old guard MUST be removed.
So I will add what I posted under my Jeffries post. If you elect Schumer as your Senate leader, you will be insta-discredited on week 1 and you can kiss 2028 goodbye. You people don’t seem to read the room. You fucked around in 2024, you lost. GOP fucked around in 2026, they fucking lost. Your tribal base cannot save you. You need to EARN support from the MAJORITY who are independents.
SO EARN IT!

They’re already fine tuning their arguments that this wasn’t about Gaza.
What happened last night is that the Dems got custody of their genocide back.

the chickens came home to roost
"Republicans broke almost every promise they made."
Thomas Massie says he was removed from Congress because he exposed the Republican Party's failure to honour campaign promises. He points to the Epstein files, the pledge to avoid new foreign wars and promises to cut government spending as commitments he tried to enforce through legislation.

The Democrats may have taken control of the House and the Senate, they may have humiliated Donald Trump and the Republican Party, but the real fight is only beginning. It is not simply a battle to hold the corrupt Trump regime to account, something that can only be done if the Democrats are willing overcome their reluctance to carry out impeachment proceedings against the president. It is also a battle to sweep away the corporate-indentured hierarchy of the Democratic Party, including Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries.
The Democratic Party since the presidency of Bill Clinton, who gave us the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), the greatest betrayal of the working class since the 1947 Taft-Hartley Act, and gutted New Deal-era welfare programs such as the Aid to Families with Dependent Children, is a more polished version of corporate and oligarchic rule, abjectly subservient to the war machine, the Israel lobby and their funders in the billionaire class.
The country is broken. Corruption, in both parties, is endemic. Federal agencies have been hollowed out and destroyed. The courts, including the Supreme Court, have been handed over to right-wing ideologues. The working class is crippled with debt peonage and substandard wages. Constitutional norms and protections have been erased. Billionaires, including Trump, pay little to no income tax. The 2010 Citizens United Supreme Court ruling, which allows big business to fund their hand-picked candidates, sustains a system of legalized bribery.
The public may clamor for a raise in the minimum wage, Medicare for All, regulation of the big banks and private equity firms, an end to arms shipments to Israel and campaign finance reform, but no one in the leadership of the Democratic Party listens or cares. They serve their paymasters.
Will cutthroat capitalism, sold to us under the sanitized name of neoliberalism, be allowed to continue to impoverish the citizenry and funnel wealth upwards into the hands of the 1 percent? Will corporations be regulated and policed? Will corporate criminals be brought to trial? Will our democracy be restored? Or will the grotesque sight of a trillionaire, Elon Musk, gutting federal agencies and pouring hundreds of millions into elections to try and control the outcome be normalized?
The handful of politicians who attempt to confront the corruption and the devastation visited on the American working class through deindustrialization and deregulation, such as Bernie Sanders, see their campaigns sabotaged by the Democratic Party leadership, including Barack Obama.
We must demand that progressive candidates, including Michigan senator-elect Abdul El-Sayed and Maine’s Troy Jackson, build coalitions to oust the Democratic Party leadership, raise the minimum wage, enact universal health care, prosecute corporate crime and impeach Trump. It will be up to us.
The Democratic Party hierarchy will see the results not as a repudiation of Trump, but an endorsement of the flaccid and ineffectual position of a party that stands for little and fights for less. This would be yet another betrayal by the Democrats of voters. It would keep alive the very real prospect of another fascist, one better organized and more intelligent, taking the White House in two years.
Of course, this fight will mean not only jettisoning a corrupt Democratic Party leadership, but turning on the mega-donors, lobbyists and corporations that fund and control the Democratic Party.
The effort to wrest the party back from the hands of corporations and oligarchs will be vicious and difficult. It will require us to rely on the power of mass movements to sever these bonds. Nothing else will work.
If we fail, our anemic democracy will not be saved by these midterm elections, but doomed.

Hakeem Jeffries and Chuck Schumer are both AIPAC clowns and MUST GO!

I have no doubt most of the Democrats who won last night are horrible and will change very little.
But the results are still important and positive because they are an unmistakable, vehement rejection of the neocons warmongering pervading both parties for so long.

Democrats are about to prove why they are not now, & never have been, an opposition party.
If you want to them to enact a weapons embargo on Israel, end the war on Iran, or pass Medicare for all, they need to be pushed.
Power concedes nothing without a demand. Make the demand by registering Green.

We can all repeat verbatim what the Zionist talking points will be.
“America is not safe for Jews anymore.”
“1938 Germany.”
“Antisemites elected who want the annihilation of Jews.”
And so on and so forth.
Instead of this childish temper tantrum, Zionists ought to realize that the item they are selling is no longer being sold. American Jews voted in vast numbers for the very people Zionists claimed posed an existential “threat” to our existence.
The proper response would be for Zionists to take a step back and reevaluate where all the manufactured hyperbole has taken them, but that’s asking too much of them.
They’d rather go down kicking and screaming than take one hard look in the mirror.

For those too young to remember, not only is Glenn right about this, but Obama further enshrined Bush's worst civil liberties transgressions. And even took them a step further with extra-judicial killing.
In 2006, Dems won a massive midterm victory due to anger over the Iraq War and Bush's unpopularity.
The assumption was they'd end the war. Pelosi's first act when elected Speaker was to say they won't defund the war: in part due to cowardice over the political fallout, in part because so many Dems ideologically opposed ending the war, in part because they wanted to run in 2008 with the Iraq War still ongoing to help them win the WH.
Does anyone think the Dems will now use control of the Senate and House to just de-fund the war, as they clearly have the power to do?

Warmongers have been saying this for many decades: my war (that I didn't fight in) was actually a really good idea but it was just executed very poorly and they didn't use enough force:
Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, Libya, Iran, etc. etc.

Yair Lapid is absolutely right that Israel need not worry much about the Democrats' victory because they're led by people like Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries who always have been and still are fanatically pro-Israel.

INSANE: lsraeIi-occupied polling places in America.
This image was taken today - Election Day - at Laconia, New Hampshire's Ward 4 voting location (Memorial Park Clubhouse).
The lsraeIi flag you see is hanging directly behind the registration table. People are voting just a few feet to the left.
This is 100% verified authentic.
This is 100% insane.
In a sane world, there would be no excuse for any foreign flag to fly over American voters on Election Day.
But in the world that we live in, this particular polling place, with this particular flag, is, frankly, the most honest polling place in America.
