Here's a silver lining to stores being out of bread. The downside: I'm about to stress eat a loaf.

Last night, we braved Costco. It was, of course, bananas. But the woman who checked us out said it was nothing compared to the morning. There were 620 people in line to get in at 8 a.m., when she came in, she said. The store opened at 10 a.m. Our world is officially upside down.

I'm stress shopping for furniture, which (a) makes no sense, and (b) might say something about my survival instincts.
