Lindsey Graham’s passing sparked conversation and controversy on *how* to talk about the departed in public. I had some thoughts that may spark some…disagreement. thepunstack.substack.com/p/w… @KenGardner11 @QuinHillyer @JohnDalyBooks @brian_mistrot @EricMGarcia @BlueBoxDave

Hillary wants the Supreme Court expanded to 13 Justices -- but not until "Democrats are in power." Because it's all about making the court less partisan and has nothing to do with entrenching Democrat power, of course.

No one will admit to ordering the Code Red(s).
Vance, contradicting Rubio and Hegseth, suggests Musk would not have acted without White House direction. VP Vance: “I think that fundamentally, Elon Musk runs a private corporation, and I think it's completely understandable that he doesn't want to get in the middle of what is a war between two state actors /without the United States government effectively directing him on what to do./ So I don't think this is about Elon. I think it's fundamentally what is America's policy in Ukraine and Russia going to be.

Wow — long time congressman and GOP nominee for Senate in 2018 who then challenged DeWine from the right in 2022 primary.
For those who follow the daily polls and political trends, the floor may have just fallen out from under the Republican campaign for Ohio Governor. And any Republican who fails to distance themselves from this ad risks taking on water as well. I have to give Jon Husted credit. He said he would not have run the ad. That was the right response. While he stopped short of outright condemning it, he made his position clear. Vivek Ramaswamy needs to pivot, and quickly. Stop defending the ad and start talking about his policies, his vision for Ohio, and why he believes he is the better candidate. If he chooses to double down, I don't see anything good coming from it. Here's what too many people in politics seem to forget: Voters don't always elect the most qualified candidate. They often elect the candidate they like, trust, relate to, or even sympathize with. You can have the strongest résumé, the best policies, and the most impressive background, but none of that guarantees victory if voters don't like what they see or hear. And when voters believe someone has been treated unfairly, sympathy can become a powerful political force. Elections aren't won simply by convincing voters that your opponent is worse. They're won by convincing voters that you're better. That is a lesson every candidate, Republican or Democrat, would be wise to remember.

Anderson Cooper takes a look at President Trump's history of commenting on men's bodies after his recent remarks on a senator's body.

Very sad news. Ron Duguay was always a wonderful chat. A legendary Ranger w infectious enthusiasm. He also fused so many worlds: sports, fashion, culture and nightlife at a very exciting time in NYC history. He was so positive thru this battle. RIP.
It’s with a shattered heart, but also deep peace knowing Ron is with Jesus now. He fought so hard. Love never ends❤️ @RonDuguay10

This is the opposite of what Elon Musk said last week.
Marco Rubio on Ukraine: Trump has nothing to do with the decisions that are made by Starlink and Starshield and by Mr. Musk. That's a private company. Trump doesn't run that company and can't direct that company to do anything.

1/ This is so extremely wrong. I understand people are spreading around the Kara Swisher quote. Swisher is not a member of Congress. Musk chose to take on a high-profile pseudogovernmental role with DOGE. He also, according to the admin, is responsible for the Ukraine slowdown...
Replying to @jessesingal
Dems are threatening to investigate Elon for essentially not being a Dem if they get power. Much more concerning imho.

Yes. All the laws Trump cites to take these equity stakes existed before Trump. Yet NO PRESIDENT - incl. Biden & Obama - interpreted them as giving the executive branch the power to own shares in private companies. That's partly bc the old GOP would have FREAKED. No longer.
The Trump presidency is an unprecedented victory for socialism. Not only for what it's doing, but because the Republican party can't object on ideological grounds. Paves that road to socialism, w/o good intentions.

Now that Witkoff has called Putin a "humanitarian," I think the Ukrainians should name something after him. Recall that the term Molotov cocktail was coined by the Finns, because the Soviet Foreign Minister insisted that incendiary bombs were "airborne humanitarian food deliveries." So the Finns called their improvised incendiary bombs, "Molotov cocktails." I don't want to get too dark, but calling children's burial shrouds, "Witkoff sheets," or prosthetic legs and arms "Witkoff limbs," or mass graves "Witkoff developments," would be poetic justice. Witkoff already has more money than he'll ever need. But making his grubby immoral sycophancy to a mass murderer an indelible part of history would have value.

Doocy: "Elon Musk has issues with the way his technology is being used [by Ukraine]. He believes these commercial products are being used for offensive military operations. He doesn't want that. He thinks it's bad for business. He might have throttled it." Starshield is a military product, but most importantly: Ukraine is the victim of aggression. All of its military operations utilizing Starshield/Starlink on its own sovereign territory are strictly DEFENSIVE measures against Russia's illegal invasion. Throttling a product you’ve sold, especially one your customers rely on for their very survival, is very bad for business. I hope Europe is paying attention.
