News: KU coach Bill Self tells the Journal-World that former Purdue forward Trey Kaufman-Renn has joined the Jayhawks for the upcoming season.
KU had a roster spot open because freshman forward Grant Mordini suffered a season-ending injury to his patellar tendon last month.

I know he's 1-4 but I LOVE having a guy like Luke Barnett. Insanely quick release and he'll be a straight sniper #kubball

This is a bummer for Jamari McDowell, who I've heard has had a good start to life at Wake Forest.

Doesn't sound like anything is happening with Melvin Council Jr. just yet, but Tre White is here and practicing with #KUbball and awaiting the start of those 8-week courses. Still not totally out of the woods eligibility-wise from there, but that's a noteworthy step...

Been told there is mutual interest between Kansas and TKR, per sources.
Will he be eligible? Who knows.
Should he be eligible?
HELL NO.

Coach Bill Self was a guest on Inside College Basketball with Jon Rothstein earlier today. I don’t ever recall hearing about a heart attack until this morning. #kubball
“There was a point where I thought that was what the doctors were going to tell me (to retire),” he added. “You know, I had some issues going back. You know, I missed an NCAA tournament. You know, we had a No. 1 seed in 2022 or in 2023. Blip on the radar. Yeah. Then I had a couple of other. And, you know, then I had a heart attack, a pretty significant one. And that was a little bit bigger blip on the radar. Then I had some complications from that.”

Villanova and Kansas will start a home-and-home series on Black Friday at Allen Fieldhouse, per release.
Return game at Villanova in 2027-28.

With #kubball being interested in Abdi Bashir, clear plan around Stokes with guards: get guards who can shoot the heck out of the ball.
Let’s see if it comes to fruition, but Bashir, Leroy and Kinney are all very good shooters.
Plus, Kohl is another potential good shooters.
Here’s my early projection for the #kubball starting lineup with some reporting and overall analysis on each player.
What do we think?

KU goes from unranked in early, early polls, to a preseason top 10 team I would think.
