"Comrade @LulaOficial’s historic victory in Brazil shows that the people cannot be fooled by bankrupt political dynasties & ghosts of the past who believe might is greater than right"- Prez @anuradisanayake in one of the most politically charged posts yet from his official handle
Today, the people of Brazil did not just win an election; they defeated the forces of corruption, division and political lies.
Comrade @LulaOficial’s historic victory in Brazil shows that the people cannot be fooled by bankrupt political dynasties and the ghosts of the past who believe might is greater than right.
Many congratulations, companheiro, for leading the march of progress yet again!

Communist Party statement on Lula's historic re-election: "A victory for people's power"
The Communist Party of Britain hails Comrade Lula's victory over the far right as a blow to US imperialism and media oligarchs.
"We cannot have monstrously huge corporations earning millions & billions, paying no taxes to this country & trying to steer this country's election results."

This is an important and brave message from workers at Meta, where the CWU have members.
If the allegations are true that big tech firms have been suppressing the voice of @LulaOficial and ignoring extreme right-wing disinformation, everyone who believes in fair play should be seriously concerned.
American tech billionaires must not be allowed to interfere in democratic elections - the future of Brazil must be decided by the Brazilian people alone.
Meta employees denounce interference in Brazil elections.

Epic doesn't even begin to describe it.
A founding member of BRICS wins against the full force of the US government, techno-feudalism and all usual suspects.

Joe Rogan is stunned to learn British taxpayers were still paying off SLAVE OWNERS until 2015.
Britain abolished slavery in 1833. The government paid the slave owners £20,000,000 for their “lost property,” which was 40 PERCENT of the entire budget at the time.
Britain couldn’t afford it, so the government borrowed the money. Ordinary taxpayers spent the next 182 years paying interest on it.
Not a penny went to the people who had been enslaved. All of it went to the owners.
Someone born in 1990 was still paying off that loan.
The Treasury confirmed it in 2018. The final bonds weren’t redeemed until February 1, 2015.
KARA: “When the British abolished slavery, okay, they wrote a check to the slave owners.”
ROGAN: “Oh my god.”
KARA: “The British taxpayer was repaying that loan up until 2015.”
ROGAN: “Holy sh*t.”
