It’s such an honor to be named a national co-chair for @BernieSanders alongside @NinaTurner and @CarmenYulinCruz.
Together we are going to build a movement to take on special interests and fight for a 21st century America where no one is left behind.

Sadly, in between the time that I wrote this and Newsday published it Trump has walked back this withdrawal statement. Pressure from media and political war hawks got him to announce a much slower withdrawal. I fear the withdrawal will not happen at all...

One of the great crises facing our democracy is power of the billionaire class over our political process. The needs of ordinary people are ignored when the very rich and their Super PACs buy elections. We need to overturn Citizens United and move to public funding of elections.

America isn't too broke for the #GreenNewDeal. We were in the middle of the Great Depression when FDR enacted the New Deal.
The result:
✅ Social Security
✅ Unemployment benefits
✅ Minimum wage
✅ Collective bargaining
✅ Millions of new jobs
