People are not ready for how much "grandparental rights" are going to be a talking point in the primary 2027-2028 run up to the general election.

I assumed it was made up. It's not.
Apple Maps has reinstated old imagery of Gaza.
So all the buildings still exist.
The left is Apple and the right is Google of Rafah, a city that is entirely "erased" by the IOF.
What stage of propaganda for Israel is this?

Open Format DJs got a special place in my heart because theyre holding up the entire DJ industry atp and ~15% are legit beyond cracked and only doing it vs their sound of choice exclusively due to life circumstances
But good God do the rest of them churn slop at every moment

everyone has their juan atkins posts (all heaters!), but I just wanted to zoom out::
techno is one of the few truly modern genres. one that transmuted prince, parliament and blue note into pure machine funk, and had a Cambrian explosion into hip-hop, pop, and beyond.
one where the creators—the legends!—are playing festival stages (that wouldn't exist w/o them!), and mentoring the next gen actively.
if there was no Juan Atkins, there'd be no "Lose Control" by Missy(!), no "Be A Superman" by YMO, no "Baby Got Back" (yup). sheesh.
here's to the OGs, here's to what's next. damn.

Juan Atkins wasnt signed to a major and didn't make commercial music. There's no big capitalist machine invested in profiting from his posthumous career, so the accolades are going to come entirely from the literal millions who's lives were changed by his art- that's true legacy

He never made much money on his art. He was one of a handful of artists who created an entire universe of music and culture.
The people who got rich off of it were white artists like Calvin Harris, Tiesto, Diplo, and David Guetta, and corporations like Goldenvoice.

Furpocalypse, FurryDelphia, and Anthro New England absolutely get one thing right and that’s the theme of the con. I couldn’t tell you what AnthroCon’s theme was, but these cons go all out and fully embrace the gimmick, with the panels and decor and all the con goers…
btw polymarket just bought a twitter account for their deadlock presence :) :) and they're hosting a deadlock tournament from what I'm hearing. I knew we would get flooded by all the gamba stuff eventually, it's just disheartening
I'm happy we get to see more deadlock tournaments, but 1win is not it. Not only have they done some shady copystriking in the past, they're literally a casino and the event is only watchable on their website.
They will send a copystrike to your channel if you watch the tournament in-game, even though they have 0 rights to the content in-game as it is owned by Valve, at least AFAIK - I'm not a lawyer.
They'll block the MatchID. They force you to watch it on their website. All so they can promote 1win and their gambling. I understand that this is really the only tournament with significant money in Deadlock, but it's just them trying to normalize gambling.
You can literally already place bets on Deadlock games on their website.
I don't fault the players or even the staff for working on the event, I understand people want to participate in Deadlock tournaments and there are not a lot of options. But I do think we should be careful as a community of normalizing gambling.
