Here’s a picture of the day my grandparents arrived in America after Auschwitz and the DP camps.
Two generations later, their granddaughter walks the halls of the United States Capitol.
Flaws and all, this is the greatest country on earth.
For the last couple of days my algorithm has been feeding me Israeli election content (I am not Israeli but I speak Hebrew) and let me tell you guys… this is just the tip of the unhinged iceberg
Hahahahahahaha may this kind of sibling support never find me
Former New Hampshire Gov. Chris Sununu (R), quoted by CNN, on voters confusing him with his brother, who is running for U.S. Senate.
“Look, if people thought they were voting for me, my brother would be up by 30 points. Come on.”

It's so funny to try and resuscitate the "Obama is a snob" thing after 10 years of worshipping billionaire real estate mogul Donald J Trump.

Anyway here is how the ballot looks, so let's all decide together whether this is an "egregious attack" on voters who all, I assume, have eyeballs:

Something so nostalgic about conservatives performatively language policing Obama.
Such simpler times. Now our president says he’s gonna wipe civilizations off the map and stuff.

No. It’s elitist garbage to spend more than a billion in taxpayer dollars decorating the White House while cutting health care and food assistance for Americans.
Clutch those pearls.

This is actually a condescending view of working-class people. I grew up in a working-class immigrant family and we ate at Red Lobster and The Cheesecake Factory for "fancy nights out." But even we understood that the White House should not look like the inside of a Red Lobster. Working-class people are not culturally illiterate just because their experiences are shaped by their limited means.
Also I find this debate over the two Dan Sullivans exasperating. Do you know how many Rachel Cohens there are??? A few weeks ago THREE different people offered me condolences on my layoff, that’s how common. You don’t see me turning it into a federal case
The people of Alaska were smart enough to learn to spell “Murkowski” correctly as a write-in. I feel like they can distinguish between two people with similar names just fine
One of the biggest election scandals in history has been the Democrats’ installation of a fake Dan Sullivan (not the US Senator) to deceive voters in Alaska. The corrupt media of course is not outraged at the lawless election manipulation but the effort to protect the lawful rights of Alaska voters. If a fake Republican Abdul Mohammed El-Sayed was ticket splitting with the real Muslim Brotherhood Abdul Mohammed El-Sayed the media would be apoplectic and the courts would fix the ballot. It cannot be defended which is why the media refuses to discuss what the lawsuit is actually about.

The attorney general thinks we can't read. He's plainly trying to stop the certification of Alaska's election depending on how it turns out.
The Department of Justice does not seek to stop any ballot from being cast or to stop the certification of Alaska's election. This litigation seeks to ensure that after Alaskans cast their ballots, they are preserved in a manner so that only Alaska's governing officials have the information necessary to make a determination as to whether Alaskan voters were confused or mislead.
The lawsuit was written by Justice Department attorneys and the Department did not coordinate with any campaign or candidate, but rather relied solely on federal law.

“He’s got the White House looking like Saddam Hussein opened up a Cheesecake Factory” — Obama

We’ve been warning for months they would try to interfere in the fair administration of our elections.
Now, the president admits he personally directed the Department of Justice to intervene in a state’s election before the votes have even been counted.
Under our Constitution, the president doesn’t get to decide who wins elections. The voters do.

There were reports on efforts to deal with the aftermath of Russian attacks on our cities and communities.
Overnight, Russia used, among other weapons, three ballistic missiles with cluster warheads against Kyiv. These missiles are designed to detonate in the air as they approach their targets, spreading damage across an area 400 meters in diameter.
One of them struck Pechersk, Kyiv's historic center, hitting the area between the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra and the Holy Presentation Monastery.
Monastery buildings, homes, shops, cafés, and other civilian infrastructure were damaged.
This is another extraordinarily revealing strike – revealing because it was no accident. The choice of weapon was deliberate, the choice of target area was deliberate, and so was the intent to inflict as much loss and damage on civilians as possible. There was no military target nearby, not even in theory, and the weapon was designed to cause widespread destruction. Russia has not changed the way it wages this war, and it is taking no steps that would signal a genuine desire to end it.
Throughout the day, air raid alerts have continued in Kyiv and many other cities. So have the strikes. In Kharkiv, a regular commuter train was hit. Dnipro, Marhanets, Mykolaiv, and Kherson, as well as cities and villages in the Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Donetsk, Kharkiv, Chernihiv, and Rivne regions, came under attack.
Russia keeps targeting our energy infrastructure. Since October 11, there have been more than 170 strikes on critical energy facilities, even though we are shooting down a significant number of “shaheds” and some of the missiles. I thank all our friends around the world who are helping us restore our energy system.
Our intelligence services report that Russia has set priorities for further terror against Ukrainians in the coming weeks. Russia is clearly taking advantage of the slowdown in air defense supplies from our partners. It is equally clear that when some partners ease the pressure on Russia, it only reinforces Putin's belief that his goals are within reach. We need different signals and different steps – stronger ones.
I have instructed the Ministry of Defense, together with the military command and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to brief our partners on every aspect of the real situation and the threats we face, based on intelligence data. It is important to speed up deliveries of defense packages that have already been approved. I thank all the leaders and countries that are helping!

Churchill could have shortened WW2 by years if he had just “done a deal” with Hitler. George Washington could have done a deal to end the American Revolution. Zelenskyy is in good company.

Camp Lejeune veterans and their families have been pleading for help for years. Their stories are heartbreaking.
I wrote about them here: washingtonpost.com/politics/…
The president says here that he will only fund help for these families if his party does well in an election.

It’s her little shoes with perfectly tied laces by a mother who loved her that gets me. Now they’re both gone.
A horrific Russian strike in the Kharkiv region. A “shahed” struck people directly – in a park near an ordinary café. Pure atrocity. Six people were killed, including children. A little girl was killed in a stroller – her name was Angelina, she was just over a year old, born in August 2025… Her mother’s name was Inna. She died in the hospital… Another girl who was killed was 11 years old. My condolences to their families and loved ones. Another 14 people were injured, including six more children.
I am grateful to everyone who supports Ukraine under these circumstances and helps us shoot down “shaheds,” shoot down missiles, and stop Russian assaults. These are horrific photos, but behind them are shattered lives and the truth about this war. Lives must be protected. Ukraine needs air defense. You can't think about making money with Russia as long as it continues its asinine war. We ask that sanctions on Russia stay in place as long as the killings continue. We ask America to be strong, and we ask it to apply the Lindsey Graham law. We ask Europe to continue its support. We ask that everything possible be done to bring peace and guarantee security. Ukraine wants peace. It is Russia that has insisted on continuing the killing all this time. The world has enough strength to stop the war. That strength must finally be used – against the murderers.
