In 2016 Sadiq Khan promised there would be no Tube strikes. This will take the total to more than 160 days of strikes since he was elected. That’s triple the number under both previous Mayors combined. London deserves better.
🚨 NEW: The RMT has announced that drivers on the London Underground will strike for 24 hours on the following days * Thursday 26 November 2026 * Thursday 17 December 2026 * Saturday 19 December 2026 * Monday 4 January 2027 * Wednesday 6 January 2027 * Wednesday 17 February 2027 * Tuesday 23 February 2027 * Thursday 25 February 2027

Breaking news from Israel. Netanyahu just heard about Birmingham City Council’s BDS motion and has ordered all troops to pull out of Gaza and the West Bank. A Palestinian state will be agreed by tea time.

Keeping men out of women’s sports is common sense. Today I voted for that protection. Conservatives are leading the fight to protect our women and girls.

People in Birmingham have watched their council go bankrupt, while the bins overflowed for almost two years. And yet the Greens and their Lib Dem enablers are banging on about the Middle East. This kind of sectarian grievance-mongering is completely poisonous.

Nurses like Sandie should be allowed to do their job caring for patients, not subjected to witch hunts for defending their basic rights to privacy and dignity. This ruling on her union’s failures to support her (not about single-sex spaces where she has already won) is disapppointing but takes nothing away from Sandie’s courage in standing up not just for herself but for women’s rights. The usual suspects will twist the outcome to attack her after what she’s been through but she is braver and better than them. Either way, the next Conservative government will put a stop to this nonsense. The NHS should support its nurses, and regulators should focus on what actually matters: professional standards and patient safety not silly fads.
The dismissal today of Sandie Peggie’s case against the Royal College of Nursing should concern every healthcare professional who believes in biological reality. Bethany Hutchison, President of the Darlington Nursing Union, said: “Sandie’s story shows why healthcare professionals need a union that understands their convictions before a crisis begins. “The court’s decision does not erase the fears and lawful beliefs of nurses who believe their union may not represent them robustly when disputes involve biological sex and gender identity. “Sandie’s experience shows how vulnerable a nurse can become when trust in union representation breaks down. “Gender-critical nurses deserve representation from a union whose starting point is clear: biological sex is real, freedom of belief matters, and lawful single-sex protections must be defended. “The Darlington Nursing Union exists to provide that representation. We will stand firmly alongside our members, seek early and effective resolutions, and defend them robustly if a dispute escalates. "Our members should never have to question whether their union shares a commitment to defending their lawful rights." Join the Darlington Nursing Union by contacting [email protected]

You left the Conservatives after the Home Office, under your management, oversaw the peak of the Boriswave. Yet despite the consequences being glaringly obvious by the 2024 election, you stood again as a Conservative, got re-elected and even considered running for leader. If you left the Tories because of Boriswave, why did you only do so in January 2026? Truth be told, my biggest problem with Suella isn’t the language she uses or the opinions she holds. IMHO, it’s how spectacularly useless she appeared to be in virtually every government job she held.
The Boriswave was the greatest betrayal by the last Conservative government. It’s why I left the Conservatives.

My partner’s bike was stolen today from outside Birkbeck Central Building on Malet Street in Bloomsbury. It’s a Ribble CGR 725 (now with black wheels unlike the picture). I’d really appreciate RTs from London followers and people keeping eyes out on FB Marketplace/similar.

It was the honour of my life to represent the WM, one of the most diverse regions in the UK. Our strength comes from people of different backgrounds living and working together. The racist and sexist language exposed by ITV is abhorrent. There can never be a deal with Reform.
Warning: Distressing and graphic language An undercover investigation by ITV Exposure into Nigel Farage’s Reform UK has found multiple elected councillors and party candidates expressing racist views and using offensive language. ITV has obtained secretly recorded footage showing Reform officials from across England and Wales using violent, racist and sexist language. Councillors Alan Feeney, Chris Whelan and Jamie Campbell did not reply to our request for comment. Councillors Feeney and Whelan have since resigned from Reform UK. In a statement shared with ITV News, Reform UK said: "Where members, activists and councillors have clearly behaved inappropriately, investigations have commenced. In some cases, there have been suspensions and due process must be followed." "Reform UK has improved and prioritised its vetting procedures, but from time to time, a handful of individuals who do not share our values will initially make it through vetting. This is the same for all organisations."

Released before midday. Just a few hours later, he was shoplifting again. Four offences that night. Eleven within five days. No wonder he thanked Andy Burnham on his way out.

Three years ago on October 7, the world changed for Jews across the world when we saw a massacre in Israel carried out by terrorists. On October 8, the world changed for me. Just a day after those horrific attacks we saw just how many people still hold abhorrent views and turn a blind eye to Islamist extremism. Three years on, the Conservative Party must be clear: We stand with British Jews. We will confront antisemitism and we have the moral clarity to know who our allies are - and Israel is one of them.

Today, we remember two beautiful souls who were so cruelly taken away from us on this Gregorian date last year. We commemorate one year since the antisemitic terrorist attack on the Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation on Yom Kippur - the holiest day of the Jewish calendar. May the memories of Melvin Cravitz z”I & Adrian Daulby z”l forever remain a blessing.

How dare Miliband shake Araqchi’s hand. He owes Parliament, British Jews, and the Foreman family an explanation and an apology. A propaganda win for Tehran, that’s what Miliband has given Iran. This is not an ally who’s misbehaving so you make a stern face while shaking their hand. This is the regime behind repeated attacks on our Jewish communities since 2025, attempted assassinations on our soil, cyber attacks on our nation, that murders women for a raising their voices and their heads, and is holding an innocent - I will say those words even if Miliband won’t - British couple on a 10-year sentence so it can use them as leverage. Shameful.

Gillian Anderson dared to speak up for Sudan and just see what her comments section looks like. It’s an unspoken rule that any time someone mentions suffering that isn't in Gaza, the response is to attack them for not talking about Gaza. Sudan has the largest displacement crisis in the world and millions of children going hungry, over 150,000 killed or starved to death, and the reaction to a video about them is "is she a zio?" Do you understand how demented these people are?
