The American founders were, by the standards of the British Crown, terrorists. Men of property and standing who organized militias, assassinated loyalists, conducted guerrilla warfare, sought foreign military support from France and Spain, and ultimately fought a war to break apart the most powerful empire of their age. Today they are on the money. Their faces are on the buildings. Their words are invoked to justify American foreign policy in every corner of the world. The men who signed the Declaration of Independence would have been hanged if they lost. They won. And winning converted terrorism into founding myth. This is not cynicism. This is the basic mechanism of how political violence is remembered: The violence that failed is barbarism. The violence that succeeded is the birth of a nation. Vietnam succeeded. Adjust your vocabulary accordingly.

Let’s just be honest here: Donald Trump has zero interest in improving the lives of Black folks in this country and has never been serious about helping our community. In policy, deed, action and rhetoric, he has proven this repeatedly. Just last week, his administration launched an investigation into the programs Wells Fargo instituted a decade to increase Black home ownership. Does that sound like someone who is open to changing course about how he has treated our community? His nonstop attack on DEI programs, federal budget cuts that had a disproportionate impact on Black federal workers, censorship of Black history or outright removal of Black historic figures, cuts to Medicaid, Medicare and SNAP — does any of that sound like someone who is willing to change their approach? He got exactly what he wanted out of this dinner. He ran right to the media to brag about how much celebrities like him. He wanted to prove his power and how much people are dying to have access to him. Congratulations, he did exactly that. How many times are y’all going to fall for the banana in the tailpipe?
I totally agree. Our people in the Black community are out here suffering. Why wouldn’t we have a conversation with the people in power? Everything I’ve gotten done for my community has come from being able to talk to Democrats AND Republicans. You have to be willing to sit at the table and ask for what your people need. Having a conversation with @POTUS45 doesn’t mean you agree with everything he says or does. It means you’re bringing your community’s needs directly to the person who has the power to help. Our people deserve resources, answers, and results.

Fully retired at 68 years old, blind, living solo in my 2BR apartment, no kids, no pets, just chilling. If I won a big lottery jackpot, I’d build a small town with my house in the center with underground hallways from some near houses to mine so friends can come play discretely.

Republicans try to demonize socialism! This is socialism: Socialism: Goods and services are produced to meet human needs such as healthcare, housing, and food—rather than purely to generate private profit for billionaires. To make life better for all, not just the rich!

vaginal lubrication is not produced by a gland. there is no gland. the wetness is plasma that sweats through the vaginal wall when blood flow to the surrounding tissue increases during arousal. the medical term is transudation. the vaginal wall becomes engorged with blood, and the pressure forces clear fluid through the cell layer the same way sweat appears on skin during exercise. the wetter she is, the more blood flow she has. the blood flow is a direct measurement of how aroused her nervous system is. this is why wetness takes time. the blood has to reach the pelvic tissue. the tissue has to engorge. the engorgement has to create enough pressure to push fluid through the wall. the minimum time for full lubrication in most women is 10 to 20 minutes of sustained arousal. the average man initiates penetration at 5 minutes. the math doesn't work. the body is not ready because the clock wasn't respected. the two Bartholin's glands (located at the vaginal opening) produce a small amount of mucus that provides initial moisture. but the Bartholin's contribution is minor. the majority of what people call "being wet" is transudation from the vaginal wall itself, which requires sustained engorgement to produce. the glands offer a teaser. the wall delivers the flood. the flood takes time. the speed of lubrication is controlled by the parasympathetic nervous system. the parasympathetic system activates during states of safety, relaxation, and genuine arousal. the sympathetic system (fight or flight) suppresses it. this means anxiety, stress, feeling rushed, or feeling pressured to be ready BEFORE the body is ready actively prevents lubrication. the man who asks "are you wet yet" five minutes in is activating the system that prevents wetness by creating performance pressure. the question delays the answer. the women who get extremely wet consistently describe the same conditions: they felt safe, they felt desired, they were not rushed, and the arousal built gradually over an extended period. the conditions are emotional first and physical second. the blood flow responds to the nervous system. the nervous system responds to the environment. the environment is created by the partner. the most common complaint women report is not that they can't get wet. it's that they aren't given enough time to get wet. the body works. the timeline is not respected. and the gap between "he's ready in 3 minutes" and "she's ready in 15 minutes" is the gap that most couples never close because nobody told them the lubrication mechanism requires 10 to 20 minutes of genuine arousal before the vaginal wall has enough blood pressure to transudate. she's not broken. she's not "slow." the mechanism takes 15 minutes. give it 15 minutes.

Considering the fact that 78% of Black men voted for Harris, this was a waste of time and money. The better story should have been asking white women why they voted for a rapist and pedophile.
Ever since Democrat Kamala Harris lost the presidential election to Donald Trump two years ago, political strategist Khalil Thompson has been traveling the country to figure out why Black men inched toward a white Republican rather than a Black woman. to.pbs.org/4xkQCJO

It feels great having someone with whom I can be totally relaxed. With whom I can discuss anything and have each concept fully explored to, at least, our level of understanding of that concept. Who accepts & appreciates all of me, as different as any of me is from her.

After no-fault divorce became law, suicide rates for women dropped 20%. Domestic violence deaths dropped 10%.. Overall domestic violence against women dropped 30%. That’s not nostalgia. That’s evidence. No-fault divorce didn’t “destroy families.” It saved women’s lives.

The oldest city in the world, named the Bakoni Ruins, exists in Mpumalanga, Southern Africa, and dates back over 200,000 years. The ruins stretch through Zimbabwe to Mozambique. Eurocentrics love to promote Gobekli Tepe in Turkey as the oldest city but will not say a word about the Bakoni ruins because then they have to admit "Africa is the cradle of not only humanity but civilization as well."

AFRICA MUST TELL ITS OWN HISTORY THE AFRICAN WAY 🌍 🇧🇫 ✊ Burkina Faso is revising the history and educational content taught to its children as the new school year begins. The message is bigger than Burkina Faso. For generations, much of Africa’s history was documented, interpreted and taught through colonial systems. In the process, African kingdoms, civilizations, resistance movements, political struggles, cultural achievements and indigenous knowledge were often minimized, reframed or left out. Now Burkina Faso is saying: our children must know our history from an African perspective. ✊ They must learn about the great kingdoms that existed before colonial rule. ✊ They must understand the struggles against foreign domination. ✊ They must know the Africans who resisted oppression. ✊ They must understand the political history that shaped modern Burkina Faso. Because a people who do not control the story of their past can struggle to define the direction of their future. France did not merely exercise political and economic influence across parts of Africa during the colonial era. Colonial education also shaped what was preserved, what was emphasized and whose perspective became “official” history. That legacy deserves serious examination and this is not about teaching children to hate France. It is about teaching African children not to be strangers to themselves. Africa must recover its memory. From Burkina Faso to Mali, Niger, Nigeria, Ghana, Senegal, Congo, Kenya, South Africa and beyond. ✊ Our kingdoms. ✊ Our civilizations. ✊ Our resistance. ✊ Our thinkers. ✊ Our heroes. ✊ Our failures. ✊ Our victories. ALL OF IT. Because history should not be a colonial inheritance. It should be a people’s memory. AFRICA KNOW YOUR HISTORY. AFRICA TEACH YOUR CHILDREN. AFRICA TELL YOUR OWN STORY 🌍✊

Montgomery's bus boycott ran for 381 days. It needed cars, gas, insurance and drivers — and money that could not be traced to anyone who could be fired for giving it. A cook solved that problem with pound cake. Georgia Gilmore. She had testified in court about being thrown off a bus, and lost her job for it. Dr. King helped her set up a kitchen in her own house. Then she organized women across Montgomery into a fundraising operation she deliberately named the Club From Nowhere — so that when the money arrived at mass meetings, nobody could be identified, targeted, or sacked. They sold sweet potato pies, fried fish and pound cake at beauty shops and on street corners, week after week, for over a year. Her kitchen fed the movement and funded the carpools. King ate at her table. Kennedy ate at her table. The boycott is remembered as speeches and lawsuits. It ran on pie money from women nobody was writing down. Georgia Gilmore’s story is one of the many stories in black history that is never spoken about. Black history is not only about the famous names. It’s also about the people whose courage, sacrifice, and stories were nearly forgotten.
