The prevailing view of so much of the young left in America is that we’re the worst country ever, so if someone attacks us, they can’t be all bad.

The accusation that I am antisemitic is appalling and fundamentally dishonest. Criticizing the actions of the Israeli prime minister, a military technology contract, or the executives who supply it is not the same as criticizing Jewish people. This critical and necessary dialogue is then dishonestly framed as being anti-Israel. To be clear, my views come from my own political convictions and should never be interpreted as hostility toward Jewish people, for whom I have deep love and respect. Everything I know about acting, activism, and humanism has been profoundly shaped by the Jewish friends, colleagues, and loved ones who have been integral and family throughout every point of my life.
This merger has real consequences for real people, and for the entire country. Scrutinizing the Ellisons, including Oracle’s business built on data, surveillance technology and government contracts, and the serious threat to editorial freedom and the loss of a livelihood for thousands of families, is fair and necessary. The $111 billion deal would hand one family control over CNN, HBO and Warner Bros., backed in part by foreign money whose influence on editorial decisions has never been fully explained to the public.
Lawmakers on both sides of the aisle have called for serious national security review, and regulators still haven’t given the public a real answer. Until they do, the merger shouldn’t move forward. Now is the time to dive boldly into all these issues, not step back or concede.

The Dodgers just acquired arguably the best pitcher in baseball for prospects they acquired in deals where they sent away Michael Busch…. and Matt Beaty
If you think they acquired Tarik Skubal because they have money shut the hell up

Reminder:
For the election fraud conspiracy theories being spread about Los Angeles to be true, there would have to be a vast and complex scheme involving hundreds of people in some cases and many thousands of people in others.
The people involved would have to be in close coordination.
Not one of them could speak to an outsider, make a mistake, leave a trace, get caught, or have their communications penetrated by the vast surveillance capabilities of the federal government.
And they would have to pull all of this off while millions of people are watching the process play out in real time, including the president of the United States and his hand-picked U.S. attorney, who would relish the opportunity to prosecute election fraud in the Los Angeles mayor’s race.

Recent retiree Greg Bovino traveled to Portugal to attend a Nazi conference, gave an interview citing Nazi general Erwin Rommel as an inspirational figure, and wore his regulation SS haircut.
When is it ok to start calling them Nazis? Or is that still too polarizing?

Claude can clean up your language. It can’t tell you what a hiring manager actually wants to see, how to position your story, or why your resume isn’t landing. That’s strategy. No prompt fixes that.

This is the correct protocol for 2 reasons:
1) N95’s are optimized to filter *incoming* air. Surgical masks are optimized to prevent contaminating the environment when exhaling.
2) The hantavirus 80–120 nm in body diameter.
By comparison, COVID was 60-80 nm in body diameter (excluding spike proteins)
While that may not seem dramatic it means a very large difference in actual mass of the pathogen.
The larger and heavier pathogen size means it needs droplet vapor to carry, not just air.
So the person you think is infected, wearing a surgical mask is effective as it traps droplets on exhalation.
The staff wear n95s.
The patients don’t.
If someone is already infected there would be no statistical difference between them wearing an n95 and a surgical mask, so you do not need to waste the better equipment.
In a quarantine facility the staff change over PPE and sterilize equipment between patient rooms, so there is zero risk of cross patient exposure.
So only the staff need an n95.
