I was deeply honoured to attend the Hon Minister Prof Kamuntu’s @KamuntuProf thanksgiving celebration graced by H.E. President @KagutaMuseveni.
What made the occasion truly special was the remarkable bond between the President and Prof Kamuntu dating back to 1959, a relationship that has stood the test of time for over six decades. Such enduring ties speak volumes about the power of loyalty and shared history.
Congratulations Prof Kamuntu on this milestone.

Yesterday in @Parliament_Ug, I raised concerns about the Human Capital Management System rejecting some public servants especially teachers following redeployment.
The Ministry clarified that it is digitizing the system while changes in personal details such as names and age may also contribute to the challenge.
The goal is a smooth digital transition that safeguards teachers’ records and ensures uninterrupted service.

This afternoon, my colleague Hon @RuthRujokiM and I, had a brief but useful interaction with Students of Kyambogo University who hail from the Districts of Kiruhura and Kazo. They had come to observe the proceedings of @Parliament_Ug
We encouraged them to remain focused on exelling at thier studies, remain disciplined, and well networked as these are the hallmarks of bright future.

This morning, I had a fruitful meeting with the Minister of State for Microfinance, Hon @SMusherure and gained valuable insights into government wealth creation funds available to empower our people.
The next step is turning knowledge into action by ensuring our communities understand, access and benefit from these opportunities to improve household incomes and livelihoods. @mofpedU
This evening, while responding to the State Minister for Tourism, I called for reliable water sources for communities neighbouring National Parks and advocated for compensation for all farmers whose crops are destroyed by wildlife.
Conservation must protect wildlife while safeguarding the livelihoods of neighbouring communities.
Our people deserve protection, support and fair compensation for their losses.
