Best story this week:
Monday: Morgan Scalley in press conference talked about the ‘04 Holy War & how someone stole his helmet during the field storming.
Wednesday: Scalley’s neighbor of 12 years, Rick, knocked on his door and said it was HIM who stole the helmet 22 years ago. He’s been waiting 12 years for the moment to tell Scalley he had it. He gave it back and the press conference prompted it.
Rick said he was embarrassed, Scalley thought it was hilarious and ended up signing the helmet and giving it back.
This is the helmet:

Last November, Utah's Zereoue Williams was a back-up and ready to enter the workforce and put his degree to use.
Now, he is one of the top OT prospects in the 2027 NFL Draft.

A great man
Grew up in Needham where Jim and family lived. Gave me great advice about the broadcast industry as a high school student
Stayed in touch with me and will never forget him calling me at @wbznewsradio to say how much he enjoyed listening
A great family man
My heart goes to his entire family.
RIP Jim. One of the good ones.

October 18, 2004: Tim Wakefield and Jason Varitek come through in one of the most high pressure situations in Boston sports history and keep Game 5 tied in extras.
Can you imagine the pressure you would feel if you gave up the home run to Boone in 03?

Tomorrow is @BCFootball’s Red Bandana Game on ESPN2.
I don’t think there’s a better 14 minutes of TV that ESPN has ever done.
I watch this once a year.
