I've never been more excited to hit merge on a PR than I was for this one. 🎉
It took 15 people on five continents to get here.
@jondkinney kept a branch alive for almost a year. @tiredkebab's fork pushed the idea further. Then came a lot of long conversations with @maralcbr and @bi9kahuna to get it over the line.
Major props to the rest of the Omarchy M team who helped in various ways as well: @martiano @riverleaf88 @buildwithdjdev @RyanTheTide @Acelogic_ @LiamRay1O @ewninjaofficial @jaidipsubedi @JoshuaSWarren @shawnyeager @novuon_ai @SiliconForested
Thank you all. This one's special, and lays important groundwork.

Touch ID support for Linux on Apple Silicon is finally shipping soon!
It’s been a while since I got Secure Enclave driver working, huge props to @SiliconForested & team for taking over and making it reliable and work across more machines. Also wouldn’t have been possible without all the other contributors who tried it on early and submitted PRs.
We’re also shipping more complete Thunderbolt support & hot-pluggable external displays and all sorts of accessories, building on top of Asahi’s incredible basic USB4/Thunderbolt support.
This is JUST the beginning. Much more exciting stuff coming. All new Macs are getting covered as we speak. Long-standing issues like power management are also being tackled.

There's a new version of this post
For anyone peeking, yes my account is quite unused and boring. I prefer to keep to comment sections or within community forums and groups.
I am part of a team named Aurora Silicon, alongside many talented individuals whom too believe that frontier model LLMs are capable of delivering groundbreaking, and “industry” leading implementations. I am of course referring to our work within the Linux kernel for Apple Silicon and creating driver support for NT kernel based systems (better known as Windows).
We work on a broad range of subsystems across an extensive collection of hardware spanning M1-M6 and A18 Pro, and are looking to deliver the best possible experience on Apple Silicon no matter your OS preference.

Dongleseption! The official USB-C to Lightning connector works with Mac! Dying to try the Lightning to 30-Pin but unfortunately don’t have one lying around.

It’s still wild to me that Quest 3 is launching with this after depth sensor usefulness was talked down with the Quest Pro
We all definitely had this feature expectation for the 1500 dollar product

Why do Americans say 4th of July but then have their date system do July 4th?
I want to be seen on the record for any political figure seeing this tweet. My vote this year for a federal member will be emotional, Liberals fucked up the NBN and I have zero respect for them for making owning a small business impossible. 1/2

@johnballen416, got a story suggestion for you. Recently came across a few documentaries and read some interesting information in regard to the murder of James Bulger by two 10 year olds. The perpetrators were a Jon Venables & Robert Thompson who are in protection programs today.
