I have a soft spot for this album. It’s perfectly arranged. It starts out with Fireboy telling us he’s a rising legend and ends with him reminding us that he’s human but would love to be eternalised through music.
All the in betweens also fit perfectly with the average human experience on earth. Ego, in ‘Lifestyle’ Heartbreak in ‘Dreamer’ & ‘God only knows’, Lust in ‘Tattoo’, Love in ‘Shade’ (my favourite!), Need for isolation in ‘Airplane mode’…etc
The album is a perfect follow up to his exceptional debut. Fireboy makes evergreen music and I respect him for that.
