literal god of football. dude unlocks endless finishing variety and range whenever his team is under threat of losing + transition bully makes him one of the most bulletproof players ever
let's say there was this new tournament. every top attacker in the world is split up and given the same amount of money (€750m) in market value to build teams around them. the star players are unique, but all the other 10 role players on the team can be duplicated (there can multiple teams with a Rodri or Saliba etc. as long as total role player value is under the 750m mark)
which player-led team is the best? what about historically?

Doesn’t even include his Chelsea dunks on Liverpool & City.
Can combine with any player, can make long balls stick, wins fouls, presses hard, one of the most dominant players in the box, setpiece monster, can run in behind, run the channels, big game chops, super experienced…

The reason Arsenal have been getting some lucky refereeing decisions in their favour (not the West Ham one, that was 100% a foul) is because of this video i.e how unlucky we have been over the past 4 years
This is karma

Let’s talk about Mikel Arteta and Arsenal for a second, because this idea that trophies are everything is insane.
That league progression is incredible, right up there alongside two unbelievable teams in Manchester City and Liverpool, especially when considering Arteta took over a physically, technically, and mentally inept squad with a negative culture around the entire football club (remember, that team were fortunate to win the FA Cup - they were not even close to the best team in the competition, which highlights how reductionist trophy logic is within itself).
It is also the first time Arsenal have been back in Champions League semi’s since 2009. Not only that, but it is only their second year back in the competition and they were the better team than the favourites to win the entire thing, PSG, over two legs (via objective statistics).
Arteta has achieved this at Arsenal whilst even though the club have spent money during his tenure, every time he’s wanted to go big on a forward they have missed out and failed to deliver one for him. And that is the most glaringly obvious gap in the squad.
So let’s go back to the original point about trophies - if Arsenal won a Europa League a couple of seasons ago would people be having this chatter? The same competition that the 16th and 17th placed Premier League teams are in the final of?
Please. Nobody serious thinks Arsenal are anything other than a very special team and that Arteta is anything other than one of the best managers in the world.
Alright, it is frustrating to come so close in both the Premier League and the Champions League, but this team are so close. So, so close. And we can thank Mikel Arteta for rebuilding the club from the depths of despair for that.

A tribute to Arsenal's historical performance at the Bernabéu.
Every player gets a mention before we talk about the man at the helm.
The man who is responsible for this special moment in Arsenal history. The man who constructed a game-plan from heaven, Mikel Arteta.
