If you’re a Muslim that lives in Canada or America then you are in fact a Canadian or American Muslim. That doesn’t mean know that you are Canadian/American on THEIR terms but on yours. Don’t conform or water down your faith for anyone.
If you don’t have the creative ingenuity to make your own ideas, don’t be a lowlife and steal it from those that do. If you sit down and do the work required for originality, you may find it.
A lot of the Salafis in this comment section will never get far in knowledge because of their intolerance to listen to those with dissenting views.

Autism in one tweet. Islamic ethics is not simply pouring over fiqh manuals. If that was all, nobody would have ever written on adab and ihsan. The idea that “technically according to this legal manual you have the right to do X, but you prob shouldn't” isn't an alien concept

You’re saying the shariah allows “unethical” behaviour? What is “ethics”? What is the Islamic concept that refers to “ethics”? I’m not aware of this being an Islamic concept at all.
The fiqh is our complete source of guidance on the good. Do you agree with that? Because you seem to be contradicting it.
Some people don’t realize yes it’s that serious. I think calling himself a dayouth is a bit extreme but this is a completely valid red line.

My theory is that when Italian merchants first traded with Muslims, they tried to copy the Islamic profit-and-loss sharing model for their own deals and shipping expeditions. They saw how uncertain it was compared to the interest-based financing they were used to, and therefore named it after the Arabic word rizq, which became our word “risk”
