Comms is just yelling synonyms to each other for 20 minutes until someone says "uuhhh yeah I guess that one works"

The ADL refusing to name Trump here speaks for itself.
Just a deeply unserious organization that has drifted far away from its stated mission, and one that has lost all credibility.
The term “Shylock” is rooted in a longstanding antisemitic stereotype. Regardless of intent, its use can reinforce harmful tropes about Jews and normalize language that has long been used to target the Jewish community.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Trump used “Shylock” at a Kansas rally Oct. 19 defending Sen. Marshall. ADL’s post omits naming him, unlike its 2025 statement.

Polymarket is taking bets on whether the seven Cornell students accused of raping a student will receive a felony sex crime charge.
Among the athletes endorsing Polymarket:
LeBron James, Derek Jeter, Eli Manning, Sue Bird, Reggie Bush and Richard Sherman.

If a US politician made fun of Jewish people like this it would be the end of their careers.
But Islamophobia is totally fine and normalized.

After voting against funding Netanyahu’s war crimes, I pledged to return all donations from AIPAC (and any organization invested in supporting his government) and to refund any donors who requested it. I have honored that pledge and returned $247,574.85.
I will work with anyone who is dedicated to ensuring the safety of the Jewish and Palestinian people in the region and to fulfilling both Israel's right to exist as a democratic Jewish state and true self-determination for the Palestinian people.

Netanyahu is raining bombs on innocents and yet yelling from the podium at the UN like he’s a poor vulnerable civil society activist speaking truth to power.
Can’t believe that team Biden gave unflinching support to this cynical, noxious, corrupt man.

OMG -- under questioning from Hassan, Trump's FDA nominee Heidi Overton refuses to acknowledge that Trump can ever be wrong about anything even after she's confronted with a specific example of something Trump is clearly wrong about

Hell no. We will win the midterms by going hard AGAINST the AI billionaires. Not by sucking up to them.
NEW — Democratic advisers are warning their candidates not to go too hard at AI - out of fear that powerful tech groups will unleash a tidal wave of $$$ against them ahead of Nov
And, AI groups have plans to spend even more

it was touched on in the article, but it cannot be stated enough what a net negative the barstool media empire is to society
There is a corner of the internet I had never heard of before I started reporting this story.
It’s called the “burnerverse”: a sprawling network of anonymous college-sports accounts that can look, at first glance, like ordinary shitposting.
Then I started looking closer. And what I found was a highly coordinated network of hundreds of anon accounts, dedicated to doxxing girls and ruining their lives.
My investigation for @WIRED — including some of the men allegedly behind some of these accounts — is out now. wired.com/story/burnerverse-…

Listen to the “journalists” in the background
“Yes sir, we loved the music, Mr. President. Did you pick the music yourself, Mr. President?”
Lmao
A fun moment on Air Force One tonight somewhere over the Atlantic. Two officials came back to the press cabin relaying message from the president — did we want to listen to his playlist while he worked?
We obliged. And here’s some of what we got;
Jolene — Dolly Parton
The Undertaker’s WWE entrance music
Teenage Wasteland— The WHO
Dorma — Pavarotti
Fernando — ABBA
POTUS later came back to see what we thought. A gaggle followed.

It’s so weird that every single tennis fan I know cares deeply about this and every single member of tennis media pretends like it’s not a thing.
As we await another Slam final in which Alexander Zverev is the favorite to win, I’m thinking about the collective blind eye the tennis world continues to turn to the domestic violence allegations against him.
A few months ago, I wrote about how those allegations have—and, perhaps more notably, haven’t—affected his sponsorships. 🔗 ⬇️
