Javan Ochieng is unlikely to feature for Kenya U15 against Chad after sustaining a cut to the head during the 2-2 draw against Niger. The St. Joseph’s Kitale midfielder is a doubt for the crucial final group match, scheduled for 4:00 PM, as the Kenyan boys look to wrap up their group-stage campaign on a positive note. #FootballKE

The Affordable Housing Programme is creating jobs for young people, opening business opportunities for Jua Kali artisans and expanding access to decent, affordable homes. In Kitui Town, H.E. President William Ruto broke ground for the KSh 2.56 billion Manyenyoni Affordable Housing Project, which will deliver 1,030 housing units in 18 months. He also inspected the KSh 417.3 million Kwa Ngendu project, comprising 166 housing units, now 75% complete and expected to be ready for occupation in December 2026.

This is the Hovsan Competition Complex in Baku, Azerbaijan where the Under 15 world cup and festival is taking place. It features 10 football pitches that are configured to host 20 simultaneous 8v8 matches. The rest of the world is growing and moving forward with their football development agenda. We have plenty to do if we are to catch up and stay competitive. There are no short cuts. We must immediately build our high performance technical centers and pitches for schools and our local communities across the country. All leagues and competitions at every level, for both boys and girls must be strengthened. We must successfully commercialize football if it is to become a viable economic pillar for our youth and the sports eco-system. We are on the right path, albeit fraught with thorny pathways and dark alleys. To allow mediocrity, hate, bloated egos and greed back into football administration is an injustice to all Kenyans. Both current and future generations. Hiyo nayo hatuwezi kubali kamwe!

Today I had the honour of joining FIFA President Gianni Infantino, FIFA Chief of Global Football Development Arsène Wenger, and fellow Member Association Presidents for the kick-off of the inaugural FIFA U-15 World Cup & Festival 2026 in Baku, Azerbaijan. The Festival brings together 189 countries in the first-ever global tournament at this age level. It will feature almost 1,000 matches with over 3,000 players at the Hovsan Olympic Complex. I am proud that Kenya is represented, with our U-15 boys marking the occasion with a 6-2 victory over Malta in their opening match today. As FIFA has emphasized, this platform is about giving every talent, everywhere, a chance to compete internationally. This aligns with our own commitment to youth development and creating pathways for the next generation of Kenyan footballers to test themselves on the world stage.

The submission, dated 22 October 2026, names McDonald Mariga Wanyama, Robert Kenneth Macharia, Bernard Korir Lagat, Violet Kerubo Momanyi, Collins Opiyo Kalee, Gabriel Mghendi and Daniel Akala Shikanda. It asks the General Assembly to consider their dismissal or expulsion from FKF, or other appropriate disciplinary measures, including a warning or reprimand. The allegations cite 𝑨𝒓𝒕𝒊𝒄𝒍𝒆𝒔 𝟏𝟔, 𝟐𝟒, 𝟑𝟏, 𝟑𝟖, 𝟒𝟏 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝟒𝟐 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑭𝑲𝑭 𝑪𝒐𝒏𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒕𝒖𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏, alongside 𝑹𝒖𝒍𝒆𝒔 𝟏𝟒, 𝟏𝟓, 𝟏𝟔, 𝟏𝟕 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝟏𝟗 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟑 𝑭𝑰𝑭𝑨 𝑪𝒐𝒅𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝑬𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒄𝒔 Among the key allegations include attempt to 𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐅𝐊𝐅 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐇𝐮𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐢𝐧 𝐌𝐨𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐚 𝐍𝐄𝐂 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝟐𝟒 𝐀𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐥 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔; repeated 𝐟𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐝 𝐝𝐮𝐥𝐲 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐝 𝐍𝐄𝐂 𝐦𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬; 𝒖𝒏𝒂𝒖𝒕𝒉𝒐𝒓𝒊𝒔𝒆𝒅 𝒄𝒐𝒓𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒑𝒐𝒏𝒅𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝒊𝒔𝒔𝒖𝒆𝒅 𝒕𝒐 𝒆𝒙𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒏𝒂𝒍 𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒌𝒆𝒉𝒐𝒍𝒅𝒆𝒓𝒔 in the federation’s name; and 𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒐𝒓𝒕 𝒕𝒐 𝒐𝒓𝒅𝒊𝒏𝒂𝒓𝒚 𝒄𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒕𝒔 𝒅𝒆𝒔𝒑𝒊𝒕𝒆 𝒆𝒙𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒏𝒂𝒍 𝒅𝒊𝒔𝒑𝒖𝒕𝒆-𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒐𝒍𝒖𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒎𝒆𝒄𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒊𝒔𝒎𝒔. The allegations remain subject to consideration and determination by the competent FKF organs. The latest submission follows the Congress members’ move to initiate the SGM process under 𝑨𝒓𝒕𝒊𝒄𝒍𝒆 𝟑𝟏(𝟐) 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑭𝑲𝑭 𝑪𝒐𝒏𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒕𝒖𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏, placing the dispute before the federation’s supreme and legislative body as efforts to restore institutional order and break the prolonged governance deadlock continue. The next stage will be the General Assembly’s consideration of the allegations, the responses presented and the appropriate resolutions in accordance with the FKF Constitution and the principles of due process. #FKFSGM

The Kenya U-15 boys' team is in Baku, Azerbaijan, for the inaugural 2026 FIFA U-15 World Cup & Festival. Kenya is among 191 Member Associations competing in the first edition for boys, featuring almost 1,000 matches in an 8v8 format. The girls' edition will follow in 2027, with both tournaments becoming annual from 2028. As FIFA Chief of Global Football Development, Arsène Wenger, noted: "Talent exists everywhere, but young players do not always have the same opportunities to test themselves internationally." This is a massive opportunity for our young talents to gain international exposure and test themselves against different football cultures on the world stage. We wish them the best of luck in the competition.

County Livestock Investment Companies (CLICs) will bring pastoralists together to aggregate livestock, strengthen their bargaining power and access better markets. By supplying the required quantities and quality consistently, the companies will attract reliable buyers, promote value addition, create jobs and increase pastoralists’ earnings. Yesterday, the State Department for Livestock Development held consultations with Governors, County Executive Committee Members (CECs) and Chief Officers (COs) for Livestock on rolling out CLICs across the ASAL counties. Through this initiative, we aim to build commercially viable, pastoralist-owned enterprises that turn our herds into wealth, create jobs, attract investment and strengthen county economies and Kenya’s livestock sector.
