You'll probably only ever see randos with your online open in an Expedition (seasonal mode with special objectives to accelerate progress). Where everyone starts on the same planet and is meant to travel to a specific planet. And on the hub station with asynchronous summoning.

i.e. you can summon the hub anywhere you want but it doesn't actually MOVE it for everyone else. It stays wherever THEY summoned in their game.

Yeah, seriously how long would it take before we're even able to traverse council space and not be instantly arrested at every gate for our own safety because of outbreak concerns? And knowing the council races they'd probably drag that process out even longer than need be.

Salarians could probably do a full genomic breakdown and analysis of interspecies pathogen risks in a few months (and keep that data for potential nefarious uses later) but they'd probably drag their feet because they'd be jealous of yet another race living longer than they do.

V can live forever as long as they don't go in "The Elevator That Fucking Kills You" in Nocturne Op55N1. They should've made a different deadline like: Yorinobu will finalize his takeover of Arasaka and erase a vital aspect of the Relic project that Alt needs to try and save you.

And the only reason he hasn't yet is because he's waiting for Hanako to meet with him.

Halfway through it should be on Coruscant after the second Death Star is destroyed. Protecting ISB intel analysts as they try to evacuate from the celebrating rioters. You manage to get them onto the shuttle but you get tackled by a rioter and beaten to a pulp and captured.

You manage to escape and then the rest of the campaign is linking up with other surviving Imps and escaping the planet to find the Remnants (not the first order, fuck those guys)

It's anti-fun because you can't personally get in combat because getting staggered dispels your simulacrum. So all you do is the false floor trick for ogres and cyclops which just trivializes them or you run around moving your simulacrum while buffing your pawns.

If they made it so you drop smoke zones with different buff/debuff effects and made it so you actually do damage with the censer (and give it better attack animations) it could've been a really cool vocation.

Especially when it's a friggin pie the customer has to cut. What, are they supposed to get out their compass and mark out 48 slices?

It'd be one thing if it was a normal pie slice size like 8 or even 16 if you want a dinky little slice.

The game would still be shit if it didn't have pronouns and the war criminal making his secret clone be gender swapped is probably the only smart piece of writing in Starfield because it would explain how everyone wouldn't just go "Hey you look exactly like the war criminal"

Like there's plenty of shitty games to make fun of like Dustborn and Unknown 9. Starfield is just the kid wearing a dunce cap sitting in the back of class.

It may be just me but I think a Ghost game with only combat is like a cake made entirely of frosting. Half the fun of taking down a group of enemies is figuring out how to approach them and thin their numbers (which Yotei made worse by replacing the charms with sake bottles)
1

Maybe it works with co-op because you're coordinating with a squad. But solo? Seems like it would get old real quick. But I'm biased because I dropped Yotei as soon as I was done with it because Atsu sucks and the story was ass.

I don't think it'd be THAT hard. Just make the main character a disciplined officer who understands that while Imperial rule may be harsh, the alternative is living under the Cartels and Syndicates. The problem is modern writers can't separate fiction from reality so...
1

they wouldn't be able to write a sympathetic Imperial character dedicated to order without seeing it as an endorsement of real-world political positions.

The thing with Mass Effect is that you're inherently supposed to be the hero. Renegade isn't supposed to be evil, it's somebody who does whatever it takes to get the job done. Unfortunately the way it shook out in choices often ended up just being a jerk.

Like instead of punching the annoying reporter a Renegade Shep should've put an order out to have her disappeared/blacklisted/etc. the moment he gets back to the Normandy.

Call me a Bolt tourist but why choose a boom mic of all things for this kind of scene? So the dog doesn't notice a guy holding a boom mic behind him all day if it's out of frame but WILL notice the boom mic if it's in frame of footage he obviously can't know exists?

Like a better choice would've been crew or backstage accidentally being shown (Like the Truman Show elevator scene)

He says that but then I keep seeing Japanese games like that recent Digaea action game that looks like a PS Vita port with 480p textures and flat feaureless ground.

Not that that's necessarily a bad thing if the game is good. Frankly I think it's healthier for the industry to stop chasing the Western realism slop meta. Let Naughty Dog and Insomniac make that crap.

A better question would be "Why would a character that evil be hanging out with a group of good adventurers?" If the character is just doing it to mess with goodies then obviously the good guys should ditch them. It could be much more interesting than that though if they wanted.

Like if the party is forced in some way to deal with the evil character because they made a promise, or he has blackmail etc.

Depends if they're smart evil or "Bioware evil" i.e. their evil choices are to kick babies and steal their candy. A smart evil character will look for opportunities to enrich themselves without tipping off the goody two-shoes of the party.

Like if the party just delivered an artifact to the local lord, the smart evil character can work with the DM to have underworld connections to sell the info that an expensive artifact is ripe for the picking.

If she didn't die of heartbreak after giving birth Palpatine probably still would've told Anakin she was dead to break him completely and then sent assassins to finish her off. If she managed to survive and contact Vader then he would've killed Palpatine and reunited with her.

Not saying that's good. It's still dumb, but not impossible if there was a small twist of fate.

Why'd they even have to establish that Earth died? Just say that Sol system travel is strictly regulated after the Colony Wars. The Starfield universe is so bleak. Every Earth species besides humans is dead because they were too stupid to save them and nobody gives a shit.
2

It's only been less than 200 years since the Earth died. There should be cults of people trying to remake Earth. Not some stupid snake cult where everyone has to get tattoos and ugly haircuts. The world building of Starfield is below middle-school writing.
