said it before and ill say it again. very interesting how misty only really starts crossing boundaries with ben after he breaks down and hits her in the face. note the past tense in "we needed you" into present tense "I'm here for you" ...
she's such a hypocrite i love her bad. and then there's nat getting really weirded out by the idea of misty talking to men. two of the weirdest most pathetic to ever do it
the baby tai flashback scenes are honestly some of my favorites for her I think they reveal sooo much about her insecurities and fears especially re: the Wilderness. specifically the amount of religious iconography connected to her fear of death... pondering
teen!misty's eyes are often terrifyingly deranged but adult!misty channels all of that energy into being the biggest lovesick yearner this side of the canadian wilderness
sorry i just think its so crazy that these shots of misty preparing to cauterize ben's leg are specifically shot over nat's shoulder making it look like *she* is watching misty. in this moment. about bonding over secrets. shortly before she breaks the black box.
one of my favorite frames in the show ... such great foreshadowing for 3x04-3x06, misty and tai arguing about how to treat ben while nat and LL (wilderness representative) stand watch... yeah
Misty and Travis are the only two people physically outside in the NTUA montage + Nat is the only person *looking* outside. something something sympathy for the outsider
