When a little girl is forced to stand in a queue for food, clutching an empty pot, the question is no longer what will fill it, but what war has emptied from our humanity, that the sight of starving children has become ordinary.

He took one of our free buses to a doctor’s appointment. There, he learned he needed a heart procedure and was told to limit physical exertion. This man tells us he was afraid he could have died on the way home if he’d had to walk. Please help: chuffed.org/project/113222-t…
In Gaza, getting to the doctor is only half the journey. For people who are sick or injured, getting home alive can be just as hard. A free bus means they have a way to make both trips without having to walk the distance and over expert themselves.

Heavy rain is falling across the Gaza Strip as residents face harsh humanitarian conditions. Displaced families struggle with the cold inside makeshift tents that offer little protection from the rain and harsh weather, further worsening their suffering.

The first rainstorm hit Gaza tonight, November 6th. Homes are flooding and tents are breaking, and requests for support are pouring in. Please help urgently: chuffed.org/project/113222-t…
This is the fourth winter in genocide and the third winter where The Sameer Project is providing emergency response. Many tents are worn out from being used for years and sadly the Egyptian borders closed and most of the tents coming in are being sold instead of distributed.
The Sameer Project will be providing tarps to protect homes, tents to replace those that are worn out and blankets for those in need. We can’t do that without your URGENT support.
Donate now to our General Fund: chuffed.org/project/113222-t…

Just a few minutes of rainfall were enough to flood several tents sheltering displaced families in the Gaza Strip.
In any country, when it rains and a mother's laundry gets soaked, she becomes frustrated and upset. She may even lose her temper.
So imagine how a mother must feel when her entire tent is flooded. Her children's clothes, mattresses, blankets, food supplies, and everything they own are submerged in water.
Imagine watching all your hard-earned belongings disappear beneath the floodwater, knowing you have nowhere else to go and no means of replacing what you have lost.
This is the heartbreaking reality for families in Gaza today.

😭😭😭I am one of two million people in Gaza. My family and I are drowning. I'm not here to ask for donations. Let the Arab and Muslim countries who are just watching us drown open the crossings and let in caravans to protect us from the winter. Enough is enough!

To the voice of the unheard.. My brother Nicolas Sawaya, who amplifies the pulse and pain of the tent dwellers:
We are writing to you under the weight of a harsh winter storm. Heavy rain is flooding our fragile tents, and our little ones are shivering with fear and cold. We are surrounded by freezing weather from every direction.. Keep speaking up for us, for your voice is our hope to bring our silent cries to the world! 🌧️🤍

The targedy of childhood is not that children have so little but that the world makes them learn to live without the things they should never have had to ask for ..
The Things a Four-Year-Old Should Have to Think About
At four, my daughter should be deciding whether she wants pink ribbons or yellow ones.
Whether her jacket should be red or purple. Whether her little braids look prettier with flowers or bows.
These are the serious questions of being four.
But my daughter, Ayloul, is growing up in Gaza, where even the simplest wishes have learned to wait for the end of a war.
She watches children on YouTube opening colourful lunchboxes and showing their school supplies. She sees a world where going to school is ordinary, where children worry about what to pack for lunch rather than whether they will ever get the chance.
One day, she asked me for a lunchbox of her own.
“When the crossings open and the war is over, we’ll get you one,” I told her.
She thought for a moment, then answered:
“Then give them money. Tell them to stop the war.”
I have carried those words with me ever since.
She is four. She does not understand political calculations or the machinery of war. She only knows that grown-ups have the power to change things, so perhaps they can be given something to make the frightening thing stop.
How do you explain to a child that the world is not as reasonable as she believes it should be? How do you tell her that something as small as a lunchbox may depend on circumstances she cannot understand and has no power to change?
I could not explain it. I could only listen.
I think of all the things she should be free to want: colourful hair ties for her little braids, a warm jacket for winter, an outfit chosen simply because she loves its colour, an umbrella that turns rain into an adventure, and a lunchbox of her own. A small whiteboard and an abacus, where numbers can become games and learning can open windows onto a world larger than the one around her.
None of these things is extraordinary.
That is what hurts.
A child should not need a remarkable story to deserve ordinary joys.
Winter is approaching. For some, rain means cosy mornings and the sound of drops against a window. Here, it brings questions a mother should never have to carry alone: what will stay dry, what will keep her child warm, and how to protect the fragile routines of childhood when so much remains uncertain.
I want Ayloul to remember colours, little braids, laughter, lessons, and the excitement of packing her lunchbox for an ordinary day.
I want her wishes to belong to her age, not to the war.
War does not only destroy homes and possessions. It enters a child’s imagination, rearranging what should be simple. It teaches a four-year-old to connect a lunchbox to a crossing, a crossing to a promise, and a promise to the hope that someone, somewhere, might finally decide to stop the fighting.
I do not want the world to look at my daughter and see only a child from Gaza.
I want it to see a four-year-old girl with a head full of colours, little wishes of her own, and a mind trying to make sense of a world that has made the simplest things so difficult.
She should be wondering which ribbons match her jacket.
Instead, she has offered the world a solution to its war.
And I am left wondering what kind of world asks so much understanding from someone who has lived for only four years.

In their eyes childhood has already buried more than the world will ever have the courage to mourn .
These children stand with expressions dominated by silence and painful shock, bidding farewell to the remains of their loved ones and 13 victims recovered from under the rubble of the Dalloul family home in the city of Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip, after long years since it was targeted.
