🚨CHANGE 242🚨 9/2 @Mets at @RaysBaseball T1 the missed catch error by catcher Liam Hicks has been changed to a throwing error by Victor Mesa Jr. This now gives Young 1 RBI on the play and makes all runs in the inning now earned to Griffin Jax Change 12 for TB #LGM #RaysUp

Busy day and night yesterday, so just getting to this, but nope, you can see the third base coach is holding the runner, since he was going back to second at the start of the play.
Replying to @ScoringChanges
@ScoringChanges Aranda is given only 1 RBI on this single and not 2 because of the error, but that runner on second probably scores anyway? Shouldn’t this be a 2 RBI single?

This is a terrible take. It’s great to see Milwaukee make the World Series … against either Tampa or Cleveland. I’m excited to watch for sure. I get sick of Yankees/Dodgers/Red Sox/Cubs … totally good with new blood.

This should be a triple from what this looks like, because playing a carom off the wall isn’t ordinary effort. I need to see a better replay but this looks like a straight triple.
Dodgers have life in the eighth as Will Smith doubles and advances to third on an error by Sal Frelick in right field

Much like yesterday, this is scored correctly. You can see that Bazzana is not stealing at all, and only goes to second when the ball gets away. This is absolutely not a stolen base.
Replying to @MLBStats
@MLBStats Double check that wild pitch on Bazzana in the Top of the 2nd. He was running for 2nd base before the wild pitch occurs. That should be a steal #guardians

This was scored correctly as a wild pitch. The high home shows that Ramirez only went when he read the ball in the dirt.
Replying to @MLB
Fix the scoring error, give Jose the Stolen Base. He was off before the ball the ball got to the plate. Announcers called it a stolen base. It was a 2-2 count and he knew it was time to go. @MLB @ScoringChanges

Since folks are posting their thoughts on the schedule and MLB, here is my fix. I think this works out the best. Add two teams to get to 32, and have two 16-team leagues (American and National), and two eight-team divisions. You play 12 games against your own division (84 games) You play 6 against the other division in your league (48 games) You play one three game inter league series against one of the other divisions (24 games) 84+48+24=156 Of you needed to get to 162, you play two interleague series from the other division, based on the final standings (1st place plays the 1st and 8th place teams, etc.), but I’d leave it at 156. This gets you a 26 1/2 week season with a four-day All-Star break. If this were in place for 2026, season would have started March 26 and ended September 27. In each league, 1st place earns a bye. Second place in each league is the automatic wild card and hosts the wildcard round. The next two best teams in each league are the 5 and 6 seed. This should avoid a team with a losing or .500 record getting in, it allows for every team to have one day off per week over the course of the season, and all series are three-game sets. Playoffs are always 2-2-1 or 2-3-2 and the only days off are the dashes. Thoughts? I just don’t see any downside…

It’s almost like they heard me…
OK this ball for Ramírez has to change to a hit. This was ruled a fielder’s choice, but this isn’t that. The second baseman is at full stretch and the ball ticks off his glove. The fielding of this is not ordinary effort. This should flip to hit for Ramírez. #GuardsBall #WhiteSox

ANALYSIS: A much sent over play, and I knew this would change. On a play like this, the scorer has to judge whether or not the fielder rushed the ball when he didn't need to. Had Bazzana stopped his momentum, set, and thrown to first, Rafaela most likely beats this, so Bazzana is in a do-or-die situation, so he isn't punished with a throwing error. Additionally, the hitter gets the benefit of the doubt here.

With this change, @BlueJays Brandon Valenzuela had his average lower from .226 to .223, and he now hasa 23 RBIs, not 25. @Orioles 2B Jeremiah Jackson now has 10 errors, not nine. P Chris Bassitt had his ERA lower from 4.59 to 4.41. #BlueJays50 #Birdland
🚨CHANGE 263🚨 9/23 @BlueJays at @Orioles (GM1) T6 Brandon Valenzuela reaches on a throwing error by Jeremiah Jackson instead of a single and error. As a result, there are now no RBI's on the play and makes both runs unearned to Chris Bassitt Change 7 for BAL #BlueJays50 #Birdland

ANALYSIS: While Jackson ranged up the middle, he clearly had enough time to get the out at first and threw into the dirt and very short. Sometimes you get a little concession when throwing from the grass, but this ended up a fairly routine play and throw.

With this change, @Orioles Gunnar Henderson had his average lower from .226 to .225, and he now has 59 RBIs, not 60. @Yankees 2B Jose Cabellero now has 11 errors, not 10 (two at 2B, not one). P Paul Blackburn had his ERA lower from 1.69 to 1.59. #Birdland #RepBX
🚨CHANGE 262🚨 9/25 @Orioles at @Yankees (GM1) T8 Gunnar Henderson reaches on a fielding error by José Caballero instead of a single. This removes the RBI for Henderson and makes the run scores now unearned to Paul Blackburn Change 7 for NYY #Birdland #RepBX

ANALYSIS: Although not right at Cabellero, it's a routine effort play to make for an MLB second baseman, and he has the out at first if he makes the grab.

ANALYSIS: Ramirez is trying to make a do-or-die catch here, because if he stays back, the in-between hop will eat him up, but he couldn't quite get there. Bascially this is not penalizing the fielder for doing what he needed to do to try to get the out. Several folks DMed me this play, and we thought it would change.
