Nothing to see here. Only Andy Burnham defending Russell Brand back in 2014 after the now convicted rapist had already been condemned over the Andrew Sachs incident.

I've never been more wrong about anything than my childhood perception of Glasgow, ie, an economically deprived shithole full of alcoholic football hooligans. After several visits as an adult all of which I have loved, it is easily in my top three favourite cities on earth.

Wow. Senator John Kennedy.
How is this not everywhere.
Seriously. This is insane. Listen to what he’s actually saying.

🚨BREAKING: Cardinal Gerhard Müller has declared there is “no place for rainbow flags in the Church.”
The senior cardinal and former head of the Vatican’s doctrine office made the statement while rejecting Germany’s Synodal Way process.
He argued the Church’s identity must center on Christ and the Cross, not on modern ideological or political symbols.

The index measures economic conditions, not how happy people are. It adds inflation, lending rates and twice the unemployment rate, then subtracts real GDP growth per person. The higher the score, the worse the economy is for ordinary people.

421 years ago today, the Gunpowder Plot was foiled in the cellars beneath the House of Lords.
More than four centuries later, the event is still marked at the State Opening of Parliament, when the Yeomen of the Guard ceremonially search the cellars before the King arrives.

Now the dust has settled, I've had a proper look at the full preference figures from the Mid Argyll by-election.
I wanted to come back and thank you again, because these numbers tell a story the headline result doesn't.
264 of you gave me your 2nd preference. That's the second highest of all seven candidates, ahead of the Conservatives, Reform and the SNP. Add in 1st and 3rd preferences and over 450 of you put me in your top three 💙
For a small party with a wee team on foot, I'm really proud of that. It tells me a lot of you liked what I stood for, even if your first vote went elsewhere this time.
This matters for May. In the full council elections, Mid Argyll elects THREE councillors, and preferences can carry a candidate over the line. So every number you put on that ballot paper really does count.
“ Thank you for every one of them. I'll keep speaking up for Mid Argyll, and I'll be back in May 🏴” “
