You see this, this is what happens in real life. The bots can't show up on the streets.
On the right there (yeah the far right) are the 6 nazis who turned up to cause mayhem.
Everyone else is there to stop them.
This is England.
It makes me laugh how I naively used to think to myself ‘Why do parents of SEN children always seem slightly bitter and cynical?’ then I became an SEN parent…

Finally asked at Drs about ADHD diagnosis (after years of procrastinating/months of forgetting to make an appointment) I eventually managed to collect the screening questionnaire left for me at Drs reception. I put the form ‘somewhere safe’ and have now lost it. I rest my case!🤣

Things that distract pupils and disrupt learning more than phones:
- Hunger
- Mental ill-health
- Cold, crumbling buildings
- Teaching staff shortages
- Inadequate SEND provision
When will the government address the real problems instead of repackaging what schools do already?
The deeper you get into the experience of a child not being able to attend school, the further you engage with stories of others in the same boat, the more you realise the impact is so much wider than on just the ch/yp. Whole families struggling. Financial implications huge.
How this can be met with anything but support, understanding and compassion is beyond me. Fines and blame are so indicative of everything that is currently wrong with the education system.

It's getting harder to fathom the world right now.
I guess for many staying silent on #Palestine, the lives of those they have successfully "Othered" are truly expendable.
And 8 year olds saying they are tired of life, is a norm these children "deserve".

Sadly, we have had to close applications for this service in less than 24 hours because we've had 7 times the number of applications that we have places.
Grant funders, this is the level of unmet need.

Please note that there are limited places and we expect them to disappear quickly.
Experiencing the system as a class teacher, Senco, advisory teacher and parent, this is spot on. Sadly, a failing system can pit those with very limited capacity against each other and become a blame game. Systemic change is desperately needed 💪🏽
