I got food poisoning and found out I did not get a job I was hoping to land LOL
We'll count that as the last day of 25 and not the first of 26!
I asked one question so much at NAECAD that I wanted to put it out into the esports sphere and hear from some folks who weren’t able to attend.
If you could snap your fingers right now and change one thing in esports forever, what would you change?
For years I’d been trying to attend a @TheNAECAD and I’m so glad I was able to.
Esports is a place where we only exist because we work together and NAECAD reminded me of that. This is a group effort and the people I got to spend the last few days with prove that every day.

Special shoutout post to the phenomenal folks who made @TheNAECAD possible this weekend. This organization has transformed me over the years as a professional and this event is dear to my heart.
@coachalne & @ColePrescott_ were THE dynamic duo tackling it all. Without their efforts, this phenomenal journey to connect wouldn't happen. They are absolute rockstars
@ZipsEsports had a BEAUTIFUL space to host us and shoutout to Nate Meeker for the warm hospitality
The partners who support year-over-year deserve so much more than they're given credit for. In a space where many come and go, they are core to this community foundation including (but not limited to) @InsightIPS @Extron @Maestraeux @prolevelwear @CDWCorp @gravitygamingpc @Joshua__Knutson @spectrumind @MykiahBonhom @BrycenJust @LenovoLegion @GosuAcademy @rocketdrones and the awesome family at @NACEsports @NACE_ED @Danan . This event is purely for coaches to learn and develop as professionals: it means SO much to know you support that vision
@CollegeENews knocked content straight out of the park. Hands down the best NAECAD ever and YALL are a huge reason why. It was amazing finally meeting @cutiepebbs (and chatting Dungeon Crawler Carl), cherishing time with my old duo / lifelong love @Septilence, and watching @kyberts_ sneak away to get any World Cup time in! I've believed in your vision since Day 1 and your presence both as individuals and as an org brightens the room.
I'd be amiss to not include a shoutout to @moseforg and @IAHSEAofficial specifically for believing in the new coaching certification program. You've led the charge of mandating it as a requirement to set a higher standard this upcoming year. Im hopeful to see more states adopt the precedent you're leading for the ecosystem!
And finally NAECAD wouldn't be anything without the membership: all the coaches, directors, speakers, roundtable leaders, award recipients, advisory board members, and otherwise. Sorry if I missed anyone, but know if you were in attendance I'm thanking YOU!
Connor said it best, you're all award winners in your own rights 👏🏼
Hope to see yall very soon and if not, we'll connect again in a year at @esportsmccia !

We are incredibly excited to be here at #NAECAD2026 with a 🔥 team.
Shoutout @Septilence and @doverra_ for supporting our coverage this week!
This is what our National Convention is about.
Coming together to share pain points, discuss larger themes and challenges within scholastic esports, and create a path to improve our industry.

It was an absolute dream come true to be on the @CapcomFighters channel covering @playvs Street Fighter Finals with @_saintcola!
An opportunity I could've never imagined. Thank you PlayVS and Capcom Fighters for the opportunity! 🥳
Can't wait for the next one! 🙏

In case it wasn't apparent, I'm also not returning for CECC this year.
I'll cherish the three memories I was involved as a stage manager, talent, TO, awards committee member, award recipient, and speaker. It's been a journey to build, expand, and achieve new heights for our space.
I've known for a few month I wasn't returning for various reasons. I stand with my fellow staff and talent who have expressed their concerns and feedback on the event.
I genuinely hope CECC is a solid experience for all involved this year; we should never wish ill fortune upon activations our peers work countless hours to attend or prepare! I am cautiously optimistic the organizers adapt their methods for potential future activations.

I, like many others will not be returning for CECC 2026. Talks were had and unfortunately we couldn't come to a mutually beneficial agreement for the talent. It does suck because the event is a worthwhile experience, but its more important to know your worth.

After 4 years of casting at CECC, I am sadly not returning for a 5th.
To say I am disappointed is an understatement, but I am mostly frustrated by how the situation was handled. Below is my timeline of events, but I am heartbroken to not return to an event I called home

I will not be casting CECC this year.
After 3 years of working an event I look forward to every year, a request for a late fee added into a contract was a step too far, apparently
Tier 2 is sparse in RL Esports as the market adjusts from admittedly inflated event budgets. Amongst all of that, CECC was a well-funded machine that was an oasis in the desert: an event emblematic of what collegiate esports can become at scale
To know my tenure is over has devastated me. I wasn't prepared for how much I'd be affected by knowing I won't see the fellow talent I adore, the players I revere, and the production crew I respect for putting on this show the past 3 years I've assisted
This has been a brutal year for me, I won't lie. I can handle that, but not seeing my friends in Waco really stings. I wish them the best, and hope we can be connected again soon 💙

Missing out on CECC this year is really tough, because even through all the chaos I genuinely love spending time with the talent/crew. Getting rug pulled sucked, but tbh we went through A LOT behind the scenes last year. Hopefully we see each other again soon 🥲
I will not be returning for CECC 2026.
I asked for structure. I asked for accountability. I asked for something sustainable.
They chose not to build it. Hopefully one day they can.

The latest GLM imagery (1301Z) does suggest that the boom was a result of a meteor.
