There is an entire generation of Ukrainian children who are schoolkids by now, and who do not remember what a peaceful life is like.
They are growing up in conditions where someone is constantly trying to kill them. They don't understand why. They did nothing wrong, nothing to deserve constant bombings of their homes.
Russia must be stopped. And until then, Ukraine needs air defense so that we don't have to bring toys to collapsed buildings, where Russia cut short lives that never got to experience peace.

After the hot summer we at the Bakery thought: The basement in which we are located is pretty good insulated because it was cool all summer.
Now we have october and it turns out that we cant only heat with the oven when baking bread.
We need an additional heating. Especially for the childrens playroom (Image 4: Left room is Playground. Right room upper right Corner is oven).

Olesia Melnychenko was a paramedic captured after leaving Azovstal.
Instead, she survived — and spent 223 days in russian captivity, including at the Olenivka prison camp where the massacre took place.
28 women were crammed into a cell meant for 6. She lost 12 kg. They were given barely edible food and water with tadpoles in it.
During interrogations, she was locked in a cage. russian men threatened and humiliated her.
But the worst part was hearing Ukrainian men being tortured behind the wall.
For days.
She feared dying because her little son might grow up with no memories of his mother.
She was freed on December 31, 2022, and returned to the Ukrainian army.
This is what russian captivity means.
Thousands of Ukrainians are still living through this hell.

Talked to my dad in Kyiv. He had a very important meeting today and was coming home late.
On the way, he stopped at some random gas station to use the bathroom. It was only after he got home that he realized he had left his bag there.
Not only were his wallet and his passport inside, but so was his wife’s passport.
He set off to retrace his route and eventually made it back to the right gas station.
He went up to the cashier and explained the situation. She pulled his bag out from under the counter and handed it to him.
My dad told her that since he couldn’t thank the person who had brought the bag to her, he wanted to give her something for keeping it safe. She refused to take his money.
This is the Ukraine I know — a place where the majority of people are good, decent people who choose to do the right thing.
I wish I could personally thank Kateryna, the gas station attendant, and the unnamed man who found my father’s bag.
Since I can’t, I’m writing this down so I can hold them up as examples of what is right in this world.
