He exposed Israel's nuclear weapons. Israel kidnapped him and locked him in solitary confinement for 11 years.
On December 21, 1986, a prisoner pressed his hand against the window of an Israeli police van.
Written across his palm were the words:
"Vanunu M. was hijacked in Rome."
His name was Mordechai Vanunu. And this was his extraordinary attempt to tell the world what had happened to him.
For almost ten years, Vanunu had worked at Israel's secretive nuclear facility near Dimona, processing materials used to manufacture nuclear weapons.
Israel had never publicly admitted possessing nuclear weapons.
Vanunu decided the world had a right to know.
Before leaving his job in 1985, he secretly photographed restricted areas of the facility.
In September 1986, he provided his evidence to Britain's Sunday Times.
Nuclear experts examining the material concluded that Israel possessed a sophisticated nuclear weapons programme. Contemporary estimates suggested an arsenal of 100 to 200 warheads.
But before the newspaper could publish its investigation, Vanunu disappeared.
A woman calling herself Cindy had befriended him in London and persuaded him to accompany her to Rome.
She was working for Mossad.
On September 30, 1986, Israeli agents abducted Vanunu in Italy, drugged him and secretly transported him to Israel.
The Sunday Times published its revelations on October 5.
Vanunu was already in Israeli custody.
When he eventually managed to communicate his kidnapping through the police van window, the authorities responded by painting the windows white before his next court appearance.
In 1988, following a secret trial, he was sentenced to 18 years in prison for espionage and treason.
He spent approximately 11 of those years in solitary confinement.
Eleven years.
Amnesty International condemned his prolonged isolation as cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment.
On April 21, 2004, Vanunu finally walked out of prison.
But Israel immediately imposed restrictions on his movements, foreign travel and contact with foreigners.
He had served his entire sentence. Yet the punishment continued.
Israeli authorities argued that he might still reveal classified information. Vanunu maintained that he had already disclosed everything he knew.
Four decades after his abduction, he was still being prevented from leaving Israel.
Consider the extraordinary contradiction.
Israel refuses to officially acknowledge its nuclear arsenal, even as the international community widely accepts its existence.
The man who helped establish that reality has spent much of his life imprisoned or deprived of basic freedoms.
Mordechai Vanunu exposed nuclear weapons.
He also exposed how far a government was prepared to go to protect its secrets.
Note that Israel has developed the Samson option. Remember Samson? He tore down the temple killing himself, but also everyone else.
Well, if things ever go a little too much against little Israel, it has promised to nuke the entire world. Cause Israel could be overrun, but its nuclear subs would still be around.
Don't give us too much trouble or we nuke the entire world.
Blackmail doesn't come in a bigger shape than that.
Mushroom clouds everywhere.

▪️ Gaza's Resistance Security Deterrence Force reported that several Palestinians were abducted near Shujaiya by a group allegedly led by Rami Hals. The force accused the group of terrorising civilians and stealing their property.
▪️ Gaza security agencies reported the arrest of Mahmoud al-Sama'na and three other alleged members of Ashraf al-Mansi's group on 24 September 2026, while reportedly attempting to infiltrate Gaza using aid trucks. Investigators also alleged that Osama al-Sultan drugged al-Sama'na, causing seizures and psychological disturbances.

आज़ादी की दूसरी लड़ाई है।
Today, Ramlila Maidan did not host a rally. It hosted a revolution.
Farmers who left their fields. Students who travelled from other states. Daily wage workers who gave up a day's earnings. Women who travelled through the night. Elderly men who had once heard their parents speak of Gandhi ji's call. They stood in the mud, under the open sky, with fire in their eyes, because something sacred is being stolen from them.
From Kashmir to Kanyakumari, from Bengal to Gujarat, they came with different languages, different flags, different dreams. But at Ramlila Maidan, they roared in one voice.
Our freedom fighters did not take lathis on their bodies, did not fill the jails, did not walk to the gallows so that one day an Indian would wake up to find his name erased from the voter list. They fought so that every Indian, rich or poor, in a village or a city, would hold one power no ruler could snatch the power to choose who governs.
That power is the soul of our Republic. And today, that soul is under siege.
When lakhs of names vanish from electoral rolls, it is not an error. It is a citizen silenced. When the institution meant to guard our vote turns its back on the people, it is not a technical dispute. It is a declaration that this country no longer belongs to its people.
We refuse to accept that declaration.
In 1942, the call was "Quit India." The British had the police, the courts and the entire machinery of power. The people had only their courage and their unity. And the empire bowed down.
In 2026, the call is "Vote Bachao, Desh Bachao." Once again, the barricades are up. Once again, the capital is turned into a fortress. Once again, they tell us to go home and stay silent.
They tried to divide us with barricades. They tried to break us with obstacles. They tried to silence us with fear. They failed.
Today, a United India stood strong.
आज न कोई हिंदू था, न मुसलमान, न सिख, न ईसाई आज सिर्फ़ हिंदुस्तान था।
Leading this fight from the front is Sh @RahulGandhi who has faced detentions, barricades and case after case & has not taken a single step back. He has walked the length of this country, listened to its people & today he stood before them as the voice of every Indian whose vote has been stolen.
Sh @kharge , a son of the soil who rose from the struggles of the poorest & who knows better than anyone what the vote means to those who have nothing else. His resolve is the steel spine of this movement.
Under their leadership, this is no longer a party's protest. It is the people's uprising.
This is not a Congress fight. This is not an INDIA bloc fight. This is the fight of every Indian who believes that the vote is not charity from the government, but a right paid for with the blood of our ancestors.
Ramlila Maidan has seen many turning points in our history. Today it saw the beginning of another. The flame that Bapu, Nehru, Patel, Bhagat Singh, Netaji and countless unnamed martyrs lit has not gone out. Today it became a wildfire in lakhs of hearts.
Let those in power hear this You can delete names, but you cannot delete the people.
We will not stop. We will not bow. We will not forget. We will not rest until every stolen vote is returned.
यह आज़ादी की दूसरी लड़ाई है। इतिहास गवाह है जब-जब जनता अपने हक़ के लिए उठी है, सिंहासन हिले हैं। इस बार भी जीत जनता की होगी।
Jai Hind. Jai Samvidhan. Inquilab Zindabad.
