You can't tell me these teams haven't used some sort of mixed-integer linear programming solver to achieve this level of trade. Plug in what each team has, what each team wants and then spin the wheel for the closest match and go back and forth on it until all parties happy.

Imagine if a fwd kicks 4 goals in the last quarter to win the game off basically his own boot. But he can only get votes in the last quarter where as a 33 disposal mid is uncatchable by that time.

A better example is - imagine instead of giving out 4pts at the end of the game to the winning team we only handed out 1pt per quarter. It’s not really the point.
