Day Two kept the momentum alive as Africa’s aviation leaders came together for another day of strategic dialogue and collaboration.
From conversations on security, economics, safety, and environmental sustainability to high-level Executive Board engagements, delegates exchanged ideas and strengthened partnerships that will shape the future of African airports.
The day also moved beyond the meeting rooms as the Safety Committee embarked on a technical tour and operational inspection of Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, turning strategy into firsthand operational insight.
The conversations are deepening. The collaboration is growing. The future of African aviation is taking shape in Abuja.

Earlier today, Mrs Olubunmi Onabanjo-Kuku attended the ACI Africa Executive Committee meeting as ACI Africa’s Vice President. The meeting was held at the Abuja Continental Hotel and included other ACI Africa Board members, including Secretary General Mr Alli Tounsi.
The gathering offered an important forum for members to evaluate strategic initiatives, harmonize shared priorities, and engage in deliberations critical to reinforcing ACI Africa’s mission and driving the sustainable growth of Africa’s airports.

FAAN upgraded everything—from baggage handling to air conditioning—ensuring you travel in comfort and style. With nearly 1 million passengers passing through annually, MAKIA ready to compete with the best.
The Hajj Terminal reconstruction has also been awarded and should be ready for use in 2027! Kudos to the FAAN team and our Hon. Minister Festus Keyamo for attending. Special gratitude to the Chairman of the FAAN Governing Board, His Excellency, Dr Umar Ganduje.
