I'm a friendly Pokemon Go Community Ambassador in Southern California who enjoys shiny hunting and raiding.
I care about the community and try to help, however, and whenever I can, so please don't hesitate to hmu if you have a question, an issue, or if you just want to say hi!
Its funny...
2 years ago Tom Thibodeau botched Game 1 of the EC Finals which led to the Knicks losing the Game and eventually the series...
Knicks fire and replace him...a year later the Knicks are Champions.
2 years ago Boone botched Game 1 of the WS which led to the Yankees losing the Game and eventually the Series...
Yankees kept him... 2 years later, the Yankees are KO'd in back to back divisional series.
One team refused to accept mediocrity, made the necessary changes. It made them champions.
The other team thrives on mediocrity and refuses to make the necessary changes. So they will never be champions...

hot take: if the comics code hadn’t been created, superheroes wouldn’t have dominated the industry. the rules of the code made superheroes uniquely fit to survive. rules like “In every instance good shall triumph over evil and the criminal punished for his misdeeds”
What's insane about this is that as a Superman fan, had you told me a couple of years ago that the DCU would correctly be based around him, I would have been so excited...
But then '25 happened and now I can't wait for this universe to end. This will actually be the first theatrical Superman movie that I'm not going to go see...I even went to go see BvS. I'm completely OUT on anymore projects until current leadership has been removed.
Between comics and movies, being a Superman fan in 2026 feels like a humiliation ritual...
This year's World Series is like those Avatar movies.
Millions watching, but barely anyone talking about it outside of Milwaukee and zero cultural footprint. It will come and go and that will be that.
Baseball season ended for most of the world when LA & NY got KOd.
Mantle starting is the result of Big 2 creators trying to force the public to recognize characters they don't GAF about and give them any sort of relevancy.
They either don't know how to make the character interesting on their own, are just not skilled enough to do so, or the character simply just isn't interesting to the masses... so they force them into a more established and popular hero's role to try and make people recognize them.
2 Supermen
2 Batmen
3 Batgirls
So on and so on... all it really does is dilute the brand and make the more popular hero less special while the replacement flounders anyway because no gaf about them in the first place.
The only PARTIAL exception to this is the Green Lanterns because they have been designed as a Corp of multiple people...
I say partial, because the drawback to that is they found a way to make that same mistake anyway now with 47 human Lanterns no one cares about instead of just telling good stories with the main 4 that the people actually do like.
Jon feels very forced with everything they do with him.
Clark is a pure Kryptonian, Jon is only half, but they try to go out of their way to make it known Jon is more powerful when that wouldn't remotely make any sense for a variety of reasons among them being that Clark is in his physical prime and Jon is still only developing. Plus Jon's human genetics would make him naturally weaker.
They also keep trying to give Jon new powers Clark doesn't have, which again make no sense since Kryptonians all develop the same powers under a yellow sun. If anything he should end up not getting a full powerset because he's not fully Kryptonian.
They keep trying to rush him into a leadership position he simply hasn't earned because he's Clark's son. It's round peg meets square hole.
Trying to put him in one status quo after another, one costume after another and none of it sticks because it all feels so forced.
He also has made Connor, who is a much better developed character with an actually earned legacy redundant, because they rushed to age Jon which has robbed him of having any semblance of a personality outside of being Clark's son. Which ironically is the one aspect of himself he rejects.
It would be better to either send him to the future with the Legion, retcon him back to a developing child which we know they won't ever do or finally just kill him off completely. Until DC does one of those 3 things, it will just continue to be a merry go round of failure.
At least Williamson does the right thing and uses him as little as possible. It feels like the only time Jon is even mentioned in that book is by force 🤣
Superman Unlimited #18 continues what has been a really strong refocusing of the series around Jon Kent and his pursuit of a new identity & life for himself beyond the legacy of being Superman's son.
This feels like an incredibly relatable new hook for Jon. So many people wrestle with the burden of their family's legacy and the desires of their parents. So seeing Jon try (and fail) at finding new career paths while embracing his new Tomorrow Man moniker feels like the perfect next step in his evolution as a character.
Clark struggling with why his son would want to forgo the Superman name struck the right chord. I'm excited to see how they build on this new dynamic moving forward as they move forward into the next chapter of their father/son relationship.
The fight sequence in Vegas with the Royal Flush Gang is a delight and leads to a really hilarious sight gag I couldn't stop laughing at.
Dan Slott and Lucas Meyer feel really in sync right now. I think they're doing something really special and progressive with Jon that feels like exactly what this character has been needing for ages. Add to that some development for Natasha Irons. This is a book more people should be reading.
Literally called the Justice League of AMERICA... but bothered by the American flag... I will never understand why these people read comics in the first place...

Jimmy hasn't been a part of the Superman books for almost a year... are they really bringing him back just to "kill him off" for shock value only to immediately bring him back like the whole losing his eye fake out?
I'm really starting to lose faith in this book. Kingdom of Zod was horrendous and this follow up feels like it will be boring filler.
Superman #46
If Superman wants to reverse the shocking death of one of his closest friends, he must battle the resurrected Nekron! But you don't get Black Lanterns without... zombies! It's up to Marilyn Moonlight and Silver Banshee to hold back the hordes of zombies!!
Ripping off Byrne's Man of Steel cover...is there ANYONE this guy hasn't ripped off during this crappy run? 🤣
#ActionComics #1103 - "It gives readers Lex and Clark’s beginnings, but it also how similar they are in spite of the different directions their lives would take in their adulthood." Read the full #review at our website: buff.ly/sIvex7k
This entire debate is one side of the argument pretending they don't know how anything in life works because they feel entitled to everything, all the time.

It makes me sad to see how horribly written Superman has to be as a person and as a father to justify what they did....
This could be really interesting...
