I typically keep it all sports on here and don't get personal, but I've had so many people tell me how moved they were by my brother's funeral service that I feel the need to share in hopes that it might impact one of your lives for the better. vimeo.com/916273116?share=co…

Hey @MLB - wanna get more kids watching baseball? Maybe start with the commercials. Watching the playoffs tonight with my kids and here's the rundown: - Megan Fox selling ED pills in a red bodysuit - The scariest movie trailer you've ever seen - Sydney Sweeney in zero clothes promoting betting on sports Leagues can't figure out why kids don't watch. You don't need a Nickelodeon game. You're not the Savannah Bananas. Just show baseball in a way I can leave on in my house.

Offseason book suggestions needed! Since y'all killed it with the TV show suggestions, how about books? I like scifi/fantasy, religion, adventure (think Tom Clancy). I'm currently reading Sanderson's Mistborn trilogy.

I think when we take a step back and look at this season, that ending was about what this team deserved. I think they’re probably the 5th best team in baseball this year. They went toe-to-toe with the top team. It was a really good but not great team held back by the offense.

What an incredible read by Michael. Taking matters into his own hands after Ronald and Matt fail to come through again.

Braves will try to avoid elimination with this lineup tonight! MH2 moved up to leadoff and Drake down to 5. Ronald back in RF after MRI on his knee. Murphy at catcher. No Rowdy who has good numbers against Glasnow.

Andor Season 1, episode 3 is pure cinema. I forgot how great that episode was/is. The show in general is great, but that episode hits different.

Honestly, if you gave any team in the league a 7 game series against the following pitchers, very few could win 4 games. Luzardo Sanchez Wheeler Skubal Snell Yamamoto Glasnow We are currently 3-3 in this gauntlet. These 7 would make a lot of offenses look bad.

I think this brings up a lot of interesting conversations. I've been saying you need more guys who are well-rounded, but with how hard it is to get hits, maybe the right strategy is to just swing for the fences and hope for the best. You aren't stringing hits together.
It is way early and comparing previous generations presents challenges, including games played, but as it stands today, this is the lowest postseason batting average we have seen in 60 years.

The knee being sore isn’t ideal, but also, Ronald’s numbers in the DH spot are rather pedestrian.
Ronald Acuña Jr. is now DH'ing, while Sean Murphy has been removed from the lineup. Lane Thomas is now playing RF. According to the Braves, Acuña's right knee is a bit sore from sliding into a base in LA. Good enough to hit. They just want to be extra cautious.

Most of those can be attributed to playing the most postseason games to this point, but still, when you consider they’ve faced: Luzardo, Sanchez, Nola/Wheeler, Skubal, Snell — that’s pretty impressive.
The Braves this postseason are 1st in HR (6) 1st in 2B (4) 1st in 3B (2) 1st in BB (23) 1st in HBP (5) 2nd in SB (3) 1st in TB (56) 4th in OPS (.692)
