We're being told to stockpile for shortages caused by impending cyberwars. But what should we be stockpiling? Me, I'm planning to stockpile long tracking shots of eerily empty supermarket aisles, which will be in high demand from the media. I'll make a fortune.

If you want to know why folk in the UK seem to be grumpier than they were before the 2008 financial crisis, a chart of real wages goes a long way. Prior to 2008, real wages rose consistently and strongly. Since then? Sporadic and unpredictable.

The stock market is a wonderful place where millions of people who don't understand a company compete to guess what millions of other people who don't understand the company are going to do next.

And worth noting when people talk about the UK and IMF - our debt is 95% and deficit 4.2%; France 119% and 5.4%; US 123% and 6%. We are in a mess because of tax rises; but its worse for other countries.
So the newspaper stopped losing money when they binned the newspaper. Sort of funny, sort of depressing.
The US isn’t paying 6% on all $40 trillion. That amount would be on a fraction of that debt. It would be good to know what fraction…
This isn’t apocalyptic. It’s just math.
10-year treasury at 6%. $40 trillion in debt.
Do the math. That’s $2.4 trillion in annual interest payments.
Larger than the entire Social Security disbursement.
You cannot sustain that.
Here’s the solution: just going back to the Clinton tax rates and making a few adjustments, you could save $10 to $12 trillion in deficit spending over the next decade and get this thing under control.
No Republican is going to do that. Trump isn’t going to do that.
And when Trump leaves office, he will be personally responsible for 42% of all the national debt in American history.

City traders are not the most sympathetic group. But it's clear these guys should never have been convicted in the first place.
Well that’s official 5 down 2 to go. Thanks to all the legal teams from @karentodner who started it all to all the team from @hickmanandrose today. We’ve got another hearing on Friday, let’s hope that goes the right way too for Christian.
