Dear young Nigerians, never allow the corrupt political class to divide you along ethnic or tribal lines. Their greatest weapon is your division, because a people who are busy fighting one another will never unite to challenge those who exploit them. Let us be clear about our common enemy which are corruption, injustice, poverty and the political establishment that continues to mortgage our collective future. Your fellow Nigerian from another ethnic group is not your enemy. The people who loot the treasury, destroy public institutions and steal the opportunities meant for your generation are the real enemies of our progress. This is not a time for tribal suspicion or ethnic hostility. It is a time for political consciousness, solidarity and collective action. Workers, students, traders and young people across every ethnic group must recognise their common interests. Our strength lies in our unity, and our liberation depends on our willingness to stand together. A divided people are easily conquered. A united people can defeat even the most entrenched system of oppression. Nigeria belongs to all of us. Let us fight together for a country that works for everyone!

In Enugu, during an NDC rally, political thugs attacked them and killed one NDC supporter, who's the only surviving son of his parents. There was no word from President Tinubu condemning that rascality. Till today, the Nigerian Police did not make any arrest and the thugs are out there roaming free and waiting for another opportunity to kill another. Yesterday in Asaba during another NDC rally, thugs came again and destroyed all valuables, lynched the coordinators of the rally and even set vehicles ablaze, Yet, Peter Obi is calling for calm. The police has still not made any arrest and the NDC coordinators are in different hospitals receiving emergency treatment. Tinubu, are you sure all is really fair in politics?

Treat the 2027 presidential election as though your entire life depends on it, because believe me, it does. The decisions made by those who govern you will determine the quality of your education, healthcare, electricity, security, economy and the opportunities available to your children. This is not just another election. It is a decision about the future you will have to live with. Take it seriously.

PRESS STATEMENT With heavy heart and in the strongest terms to condemn, in its totality, the barbaric and unprovoked attack on members of the Obidient and OK Movement, which occurred today in Asaba, the Delta State capital, at the hands of armed political thugs working for the All Progressives Congress (APC). This brazen assault, carried out in broad daylight, represents a dangerous escalation in the sustained campaign of intimidation and violence that has been repeatedly unleashed on the NDC and her candidates across Delta State. The consequences of today's attack were grave: the Delta Central Coordinator of the Movement was severely wounded, several other members sustained varying degrees of injuries and campaign vehicles alongside private vehicles belonging to members were badly damaged. These are not isolated incidents. They form part of a disturbing pattern of coordinated attacks on the NDC, her candidates, her supporters and allied movements, a pattern designed to stifle lawful political participation, silence dissent and subvert the democratic process through fear and bloodshed. We condemn this sustained campaign of political violence in the strongest possible terms and declare, unequivocally, that Delta State must not be allowed to become a theatre of electoral brigandage. We note with measured hope that, at the time of this publication the Delta State Commissioner of Police invited the leadership of the movement. We await the outcome of the invitation in good faith. We demand nothing less than a thorough, transparent and impartial investigation that leads to the identification, arrest and prosecution of all perpetrators and their sponsors, no matter how highly placed. An attack on lawful citizens exercising their constitutional right to assemble and associate is an attack on democracy itself and it must attract the full weight of the law. We also call on all security agencies operating in Delta State to rise to their constitutional duty of protecting lives and property, particularly as the political season intensifies. The people of Delta State deserve to participate in the democratic process without fear of molestation, injury or death. We further call on the relevant authorities to guarantee the safety of the leadership and members of the Movement going forward and to ensure that today's invitation does not become a substitute for genuine action against the real aggressors. We appeal to our members and supporters to remain peaceful, law-abiding and resolute. Violence and provocation will not deter us from our legitimate pursuit of a better Delta State and a better Nigeria. We shall continue to stand firm in defence of democracy, justice and the rule of law. We urge all well-meaning Nigerians, civil society organisations, the media, and the international community to closely monitor developments in Delta State. The repeated assaults on the NDC and her candidates must not be normalised, ignored or swept under the carpet. Enough is enough. Delta State belongs to all Deltans, not to thugs and their sponsors. We demand justice. We await the outcome of the police invitation. And we will not be silenced. Signed Directorate of Media and Communication Obidient Movement, Delta State

I am profoundly saddened and deeply disturbed by reports of violence directed at members and coordinators of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) and the Obidient Movement in Delta State. I unequivocally condemn the attacks against our coordinators, supporters, and fellow citizens who were merely exercising their democratic rights. Political violence has no place in a democracy and can never be justified. No political aspiration is worth the life of a Nigerian, and no dispute should be resolved through intimidation, physical attacks, or the destruction of property. It is particularly troubling that, at a time when Nigeria urgently needs responsible leadership, some individuals continue to believe that political influence can be secured through thuggery, fear, and violence. Political authority should be attained through persuasion and the trust of the people, not by intimidating opponents. I urge the Government and the security agencies to conduct an immediate and thorough investigation into these attacks, identify those responsible, and ensure that they face justice, irrespective of their political affiliations. The safety and security of our members must be assured. We will not be intimidated or silenced, nor will we relinquish our democratic space to violence. Our response will remain peaceful, lawful, and determined. Nigeria belongs to every one of us. No political party or individual has exclusive ownership of the democratic space. Every Nigerian is entitled to organise, gather, express their views, and freely elect their leaders. Our nation needs constructive ideas rather than intimidation, responsible leadership rather than thuggery, and democratic contest rather than political violence. I stand in solidarity with everyone affected in Delta State. A New Nigeria must be founded on justice, liberty, peace, and respect for the dignity of every citizen. May God bless Delta State and the Federal Republic of Nigeria. -PO

In Nigeria today, the riskiest job is no longer counterterrorism fight in Gwoza or Damboa. I think the riskiest job today is working as a thug to disrupt any NDC event. As you're going for that kind duty, make sure you have prepared your will.

GOOD DAY, MR PRESIDENT: NIGERIANS DESERVE ACCOUNTABILITY Good day, Mr President. I congratulate you on spending a night in one of Nigeria’s states outside Lagos and Abuja. I hope you enjoyed the warmth, hospitality, and delicious cuisine of Akwa Ibom, which I am sure is even better than those of the destinations where you have spent over 260 days outside Nigeria since coming into office. I sincerely hope this visit will inspire you to travel to the remaining 33 states of the federation, spend time with the people and, more importantly, explain what your administration has done with the ₦15.8 trillion saved from the removal of fuel subsidy, the over $100 billion you have borrowed, the increased revenues accruing to the government from taxing Nigerians, and the additional government revenues which your administration celebrated last year as having surpassed its target. Nigerians deserve to know how many that were pulled out of poverty within this period, how many out-of-school children were returned to school, and how many functional primary healthcare centres you have built. They also deserve to know how much electricity supply has improved, especially given your promise that if you do not fix power, Nigerians should not vote for you. They deserve an explanation of how you have secured the country, which still ranks among the most terrorised countries in the world. Mr President, Nigerians deserve answers. They deserve to know what has been done with the resources entrusted to your government. The New Nigeria we want to build will be based on accountability, transparency, and the physical, measurable impact of our public resources on the lives of citizens. A new Nigeria is POssible. -PO

As Governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi took several actions to address gully erosion and petitioned the federal government for ecological support, though his record is viewed differently by political critics and supporters. [1, 2, 3] Actions and Measures Taken During His Tenure •Road Design and Drainage Policies: Obi blamed past poor road designs for worsening gully erosion and mandated that all new roads built by his administration include proper drainage systems linked directly to safe water discharge points. [1] • •Site-Specific Control Projects: His administration executed flood and gully erosion control works in specific communities, such as constructing a 6-kilometer network of concrete drains and a reinforced concrete channel in Adazi Nnukwu to route water safely into the Inway River, as well as undertaking interventions in Umo Equilobia and Amobia village. [1] • •Creation of NEWMAP (Nigeria Erosion and Watershed Management Project): According to former Environment Minister John Odey, Obi was instrumental in pushing for and helping establish NEWMAP, a World Bank-backed project designed to finance and manage gully erosion across affected Nigerian states. [1] • •Federal Intervention Advocacy: Obi repeatedly appealed to the federal government for ecological funds and special assistance to tackle the state's severe erosion crises, linking road construction projects with erosion mitigation efforts. [1, 2] • Political Debates and Criticisms •Criticisms: Political opponents—including President Bola Tinubu—have criticized Obi's record, alleging that his administration did not do enough to permanently halt the thousands of active gully erosion sites across Anambra State. [1, 2] • •Supporters' Defense: Supporters maintain that Obi faced a massive, geologically fragile crisis with limited state resources, making structural interventions like drainage reform and championing the World Bank NEWMAP initiative significant steps for the region.
