This is a great observation! I overtraded for many years. On paper it looks good. However, if I had of focused more on investing, especially around 2008, it would look way better!

No surprise that President Trump is upset with the Feds rate hike but 1/ were it not for the tariffs & the Iran War’s impact on energy prices the Fed probably would not have hiked 2/ the main reason the US has a trade/current account deficit is because of its huge budget deficit!

I've lived through plenty of oil price shocks. But I can't remember any that were entirely self-inflicted by the incompetence of one man. One stupid decision in February stapled to a chronic inability to admit he screwed up brought us here.
