As a hockey mom, I find it absolutely disgusting that young Russian hockey players are being punished for the actions of their country’s leader.
These young men didn’t start a war. They’re hockey players who have dedicated years of their lives to a sport they love.
And let’s not forget their families.
The countless hours at the rink. The early mornings, the endless travel, the financial sacrifices, and the years spent supporting their sons’ dreams of going as far as they possibly can in hockey.
As a hockey mom, I know firsthand what families give up to get their children to this level.
And now, because of politics, those dreams and opportunities are being taken away.
Mark Carney, these young men are not responsible for Vladimir Putin’s decisions.
Since when did we decide that punishing young athletes for the actions of their government was acceptable?
Hockey should bring people together, not divide them.

Le programme défense de LFI pour la présidentielle:
- Sortie du commandement intégré de l'Otan + rejet de l'engagement des 3,5+1,5% de PIB.
- Nationalisation d'une partie de l'industrie de défense.
- Effort d'investissement dans des "enablers", des capacités de support indispensables aux opérations et pour lesquelles la France est très dépendante des Américains : logistique, alerte avancée, communication, renseignement...
- Fermeture du Centre d'excellence spatiale de l'Otan, inauguré en début d'année à Toulouse.
- Développement d'une navette spatiale.
- Engagement à réguler les systèmes d'armes létales autonomes.
Un livret spécifique sur la défense doit être publié prochainement.
