Hospital worker to me, a disabled person: “Do you have a DNR (Do Not Resuscitate) order?” Me: “No.” Hospital: “Do you want one? Me: “No.” Hospital: “Are you sure?” Me: “Very sure.” Hospital: “You can always change your mind.” Would a nondisabled person be treated this way?

This is a few years old now but still as true as ever. Some of the media in the UK have a lot to answer for.

The vast majority of voter IDs approved by the Government are available to older people - but very few are targeted at people under 60 🗳️✅ glplive.org/n1g

I don't always, or even very often, agree with JHB but she's bang on here. Whatever your politics, surely we all want & expect competence & integrity as a minimum from our leaders? Being a laugh is great for a mate but for a PM? Give me dull but effective every time.
We shouldn't have to choose between "competence" and "personal integrity" for whoever is our next Prime Minister. These things shouldn't be considered as optional extras. They should be the basic requirements we expect of anyone who wants to lead our great country.

“We chose to put our mental health first!” This resonating interview helps me process the reasons why I believe there is a cruelty that needs looked at when we discuss “the divine right of Kings” … it’s an unnatural pressure on all involved.
I’ve never seen this before and it makes the hounding of them by the British tabloids even more grotesque

This is so inspiring. So many cities in the UK could benefit from the leadership and vision of the mayor who pushed this through bigissue.com/news/environmen…

Today, Conservative MPs voted for their next leader. Only 43% of MPs picked the top 2 candidates. Under FPTP, the other 57% would not have mattered. But it's one system for them, and other for you. Sign to tell them to support Equal Votes for all makevotesmatter.org.uk/2022-…

The reason the UK will have the lowest growth in the G7 next year is Brexit. We're not going to reverse the decline until we begin to remove the barriers - economic, social, scientific - that we chose to erect with the rest of our continent. That's not rocket science. Just say it
Under this Tory government, Britain’s growth has ground to a halt. And they are too distracted by their own failings to deal with it. Labour has a plan to tackle the cost of living crisis and build a stronger, more secure economy.

EVERYONE SHOULD WATCH. This video provides compelling evidence of #Putin's #Russia infiltrating Britain's politics, democracy, and #Brexit. Please help to share this 2-minute trailer far and wide. Full 10-minute video at TheRussianConnection.co.uk
