I'll never get why the Q1s are treated like their the same type of 'war engines' like the Austerities, WDs, 8Fs, etc

I will say he only said ex-FR coaches that were nicknamed bug boxes by MSR crews (the nickname on the FR didn't come about till the 50s) so there is a little wiggle room to include the Ashburys and Type 3 quarrymans coaches. The main problem with the BMs is that there were only-

the layout notes do note they are similar to the SR ones, so probably at least a 4w BM of more normal proportions (no squat ffes style)

in the layout notes it mentions its lead ore

there are two crossing here on the timetable but these are with the goods so probably just shoved in a siding

it was still a few years till the englands were rebuilt to how we know them now with Palmerston and Little Giant being rebuilt in 1888. I can imagine Duke looking something like this, a small england but with the tank of a large (for the longer distances of the MSR)
