There are no serious injuries following a two vehicle crash on the Trans-Canada Highway westbound just west of Allandale Road. One vehicle was rear-ended and sent into the rocky ditch nearby. One lane of traffic is moving slowly through the area. #NLTraffic

We hate to say it… but it’s that time of year in Newfoundland and Labrador!
Before snow and ice become part of our daily lives, take some time to get your vehicle winter-ready:
•Install winter or studded tires before conditions change. As of November 1, studded tires are permitted on provincial roads
•Check your battery, lights, wipers and fluid levels. Keep backup fluids in the trunk.
•Keep your gas tank topped up when possible.
•Pack an emergency kit to keep in your vehicle, including a blanket, hand warmers, a flashlight, phone charger, food and water, jumper cables and a shovel.
Take a few extra minutes this weekend and get prepared! Help keep yourself and your passengers safe in case of an emergency this winter.
