Achyutadēvarāya inscription from Śri Venkateswara Temple, Tirumala,Andhra Pradesh This inscription was found on south wall of the 3rd prakara. It is written in Tamil language and characters and dated in Śaka 1462, Sārvari,Kumbha (Māsi),ba. 3, Sunday. Registered the deed of charity in favour of Pēraruḷāḷayyaṉ, who was one of the Ēkāṅgi Śrīvaiṣṇavas residing at Tirumalai. It states that a sum of 675 paṇam was deposited in the bhaṇḍāram (temple treasury) to provide food offerings to the god Śri Venkateswara on auspicious occasions,including the Brahmōtsavam,the Uṟi-aṭi festival(during Krishna Janmashtami) and the Adhyayanōtsavam. It also provides for the maintenance of tanks and irrigation channels in the temple villages, known as Tiruviṭaiyāṭa-ūrkaḷ. The agricultural produce harvested from these villages was to be remitted to the temple treasury. The inscription was composed by Tiruninra-ūr-uḍaiyān, the temple accountant.
