This season in the Championship, Boro have the highest xG, best xG difference, most crosses, most shots on target, most successful final-third passes and most touches in the opposition box.
Hell yeah, baby! Middlesbrough have their mojo back and go top of the league. 🕺

Important note: with Mike Evans going down, the 49ers have now lost all 6 of the WRs they started the season with.
Pick any team in the league, then imagine them playing without their top 6 WRs.
What Purdy and the Niners are doing right now is insane.

The highest-rated QB in NFL history is not Tom Brady or Dan Marino or Joe Montana or Peyton Manning or John Elway or Aaron Rodgers or Brett Favre or Drew Brees or Johnny Unitas... Take a bow, Brock Richard Purdy. Time to look at him as much more than a nice Mr Irrelevant story.

Southampton fans in the comments feeding into this acting like this is funny cause he got off. He’s the reason you aren’t in the prem right now and the reason you wasted your hard earned wage week in week out to watch your team play to then have it cancelled out by a cheat.

We’re pleased to announce that proceeds from the live stream of Sunday’s Legacy Game will be donated to the families of PC Matthew Blades and PC Tom Clough.
There has been an outpouring of community support for the families of the two police officers, whose lives were tragically lost in the line of duty in August.
MFC hope this contribution can offer some support to the two families in the wake of Sunday’s Legacy Game, which was staged as part of our 150th anniversary celebrations.
A full house were at the Riverside for the event, and several thousand more from around the world tuned in via our live streaming service, Boro LIVE.
Absolutely disgraceful pricing from @OfficialBWFC for the @boro fans. Nearly £40 for an adult and over £30 for a child. And then a random family ticket that only comes available after a certain number of tickets are sold. Enough is enough. #twentyisplenty

Teesside has long experience of being talked down. The place once stood for steel, iron, coal — industry. Over 40 years that status has disappeared with the industries themselves. Teesside instead saw itself as half-forgotten by government, then the butt of jokes and disparaging coverage. Recent events have only reinforced an impression of a beaten, wild area.
But as a name with national recognition, what has endured is Middlesbrough FC. There was a palpable sense on Saturday that, but for Boro’s late winner against Norwich, the mood across the region would have plummeted. It can sound overblown, but what you saw with Ashley Phillips’ 91st-minute winner was just how much Teesside hope, self-esteem and identity are invested in the football club.
There are no claims that football means more on Teesside, just that, as @mwalker2771 writes, at a time like this its presence is enhanced.

We saw this game about 20 times last season. Can we find a way this season? I’m not so sure. Feels too familiar. #boro
