A rare honor for an SID. A totally deserved honor. There were stretches of time when Kenny was the glue keeping the Louisville athletic department together. He's missed every day.
He spent his career celebrating Louisville’s legends. Now, he’ll take his rightful place among them. On Jan. 2, we’ll honor Kenny Klein with a permanent place in the rafters of the KFC Yum! Center. We love you, Kenny. ❤️ More Info: uofl.me/4sdE6uI #GoCards

Well Said Coach Harrick! A fitting tribute for a Bruin pillar. He is an amazing person & what an epic run in Westwood with @UCLAMBB. Who could have ever predicted Doug’s epic 30+ year run with the Bruins! To think a Eureka native & San Jose St (band member) graduate would be hired by Coach Harrick at UCLA & subsequently go on the longest MBB employment run in program history! IYKYK: Upon Doug’s hiring at UCLA he very quickly thereafter was given the monicker “computer genius” by Coach Harrick because of his reputation in the software industry (Silicon Valley) for demonstrating elite acuity & expertise in the technology space. 🖥️ 💻 After learning under the steady expert tutelage of Susan Tokuda Doug took the baton & led the charge as he ushered the MBB program into the new millennium’s age of advanced technology & all its deliveries, platforms and facets of the ever changing landscape that is college athletics. #Eureka’sFinest #Roommate #ComputerGuru #JohnWoodenGuardianAngel #BruinRoyalty #Soldier #GateKeeper #Bruins 💛💙

White Sox Manager Will Venable graduated from San Rafael High School in 2001. I graduated San Marin High School in 2001. We both played hoops. He was the best player in our league, MCAL. I was not a top player by any means, but he was my defensive matchup each time we played the Bulldogs. He went on to play hoops/baseball at Princeton. The guy has always been such a calm, "easy winner." His demeanor looks the same in that dugout during these playoffs as it did then, a blend of stoicism, confidence and kindness. I am rooting for him. The @whitesox got a good one.

Nobody is as instantly recognizable in L.A. sports broadcasting as Jim Hill, who has been around every big game for 50 years. UCLA will recognize the legend who turns 80 on a fittingly huge stage — before its rivalry game against USC at the Rose Bowl. nypost.com/2026/10/01/sports…

I am incredibly honored for the opportunity to serve as Head Coach of the Windy City Bulls. Leaving the University of Washington is bittersweet. I am deeply thankful to Coach Sprinkle, the players, staff, Husky Nation, and the entire UW community for welcoming my family and I back, and allowing me to be part of such a special program. The relationships I built and the lessons I learned during my time at UW as a student, athlete, and a coach will stay with me throughout my coaching career. I am a Dawg forever. Becoming a head coach has always been a dream of mine, and I am excited to take this next step as I look forward to developing our players both on and off the court, building a strong culture, and competing daily. My family and I are excited to begin this new chapter in Chicago, and I am grateful to everyone who has supported along the way. Let’s get to work! -QP

Congratulations to the “Old Ball Coach” @daveshondell for becoming in winningest coach in Boiler athletics history. I know Mom and dad are so proud. I wish Morgan Burke and Roger Blaylock were still alive to see the accomplishments of this incredible hire in 2003!

What a moment during the @LittleLeague World Series Championship game. A well-deserved salute to @karlravechespn who has brought so much passion, knowledge and fun to ESPN/ABC's coverage of the #LLWS. Karl never wants it to be about himself, but he deserves the accolades.
